Okay final list of players and teams:
show: list of players and teams

I removed Team 8 because both discotits and redbugal are currently freemium, and discotits hasn't been on CC since July 5th, so I think there's too much chance of a default there.
I removed Team 15 because after three PMs I'm not making another attempt at getting Rowney to post in the proper format.

That leaves 24 teams, as seeded below:
show: seeding

All of the above has also been updated in Post 2. If you're ever in doubt, check Post 2 for players, teams, and scores.

Games coming shortly.

Wow, four and a half hours to check everybody's current scores, make the games, and send out the invitations.

I gotta stop making these complicated tourneys...:)

Anyway, first set games are made and all invitations sent!

Hi Duk,

Just a quick clarification ... as the 3rd seed in this tourney ... in the Prelim round we will be playing a series of games against the teams ranked 1, 2, 4, and 5 ... or the ones listed in Red below?

Team 1 merch313 2382 Swifte 2799 2591
Team 5 Leehar 2482 Dowian2 2696 2589

Team 7 ElricTheGreat 2208 uckuki 2877 2543
Team 9 shoop76 2368 xman5151 2615 2492
Team 18 ScootChina 2281 ViperOverLord 2399 2340

So each person in the 1st round of the tourney is up for 24 games?

Wow .. talk about pulling the shortest straw ... oh well I hope having the worst draw in round 1 will pay off with a bit of luck in the future rounds.

Yeah, it's a tough row to hoe, tournament-wise. But on the plus side, it's a good chance to rake in some regular points...:)

And if that fails, you'll at least save up karma!

Very tough draw indeed, I thought it meant high ranked teams would play low ranked, but okay, this is very good competition. Thanks Duk well put together tourney!

The number of finished games (58) exceeds the number of ongoing games (50) so we're on track to start the next set within 2 or 3 days.

Duk, can you clarify what qualifies as the best individual performance? Is it total number of wins? Wins percentage? Will players that advance further have a better chance at winning or can a very good Preliminary round score make someone a contender? TO's discretion? Just curious. Thanks :)

Good question. I'll admit I was thinking that it was going to be based on total wins, but since I've had a lot of time to think about it, I think win percentage is more fair.

We will keep total wins as a tiebreaking condition for this, so yes, there will be an advantage for those who advance further: if your win percentage is the same as somebody else's, but you have advanced further, you will end up with more total wins. However, somebody with a stellar performance in the Prelim rounds could still take home the medal without advancing, if his win percentage remains unchallenged.

I'm updating the first post to reflect this, and I'll also send a message to DJ to make sure it's still good, although I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be.

I got the second set of Dubs games out, but I can't do the 1v1s right now. I'll try to get them done later tonight or maybe tomorrow.

Working on it. It's taken longer than I hoped, but next couple days I should be updated and have the next set out.

Vinc and uk massive have missed two sets of invites, they haven't responded to PMs, and uk massive hasn't been online since Saturday, so I guess we go on without them.

I was out scavenging for reserves and found General Brock II and ianphull loitering outside the Officers Mess...:P GBII and Ian are of considerably higher rank than the players they are replacing, so there will be a bit of an anomaly in the seeding. Can't be helped -- to reseed everybody would cause a far greater mess -- so we'll just run with the ball as-is.
