Introduction: The Simón Bolívar Pan-American Friendship Challenge is held on December 17, 2012 at 2100 hours (Washington DC time zone), the 182nd anniversary of the death of Gen. Simón Bolívar.

Prize: The winner of Round 2 will receive a premium membership for himself or a person he designates.

How to Join: A maximum of 3 persons from any one country will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis by posting "RSVP" in this thread beginning no sooner than October 20, 2012 (reservations prior to that time will not be considered). A waiting list will be maintained.

Eligibility: (a) Your country location flag on your profile must display the the flag of one of the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Canada, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, United States, Uruguay, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Grenada, Suriname, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Bahamas, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Belize, Guyana, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, France (in respect of French Guiana), the Netherlands (in respect of Aruba). (b) You must have twenty-five posts in Off-Topics by or before October 17, 2012 if you are representing a primarily English speaking nation.

Format: There will be two rounds of speed games that occur simultaneously. Round 1A will consist of 8 players from the U.S., Canada and Mexico and will be played on map NORTH AMERICA. Round 1B will consist of 8 players from all other eligible countries and will be played on map SOUTH AMERICA. Round 2 will consist of the winner from 1A versus the winner from 1B and will be played with 24-hour turns on map NEW WORLD. Players with profile location flags in Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands will be counted toward the U.S. total.

Special Rules: In-game chat in all rounds may occur in Spanish, Portuguese, French, English, Navajo, Aztec hieroglyphics or Dutch.

Settings: Round 1A and Round 1B will be Standard, Automatic, Sequential, Escalating, Chained, 20 Round Limit, 3 Minute Turns
Round 2 will be Standard, Automatic, Sequential, Flat Rate, Chained, 20 Round Limit, 24-hour Turns

Limitations: The Supreme Adjudicator (Saxitoxin) reserves the right to modify the rules at will.
