Yeah, God. I really hope they don't have to play tomorrow, but that would take actual emotional consideration from the NFL, so it's obviously out of the question.

The sad thing is that the team will probably be more motivated to play well Sunday than they have been all season.

I feel badly for the families involved, but yeah, those two actually watched a man who they knew blow his brains out. That's something they'll never forget.

Head coach and GM of the Chiefs. Talked to Belcher right before he blew his brains out and then witnessed it.

A Browns employee committed suicide either Friday or Saturday at their practice facility:

Glad to see there are twice as many dislikes than likes on youtube

Jason Whitlock wrote that she would still believe if she had a gun, Costas was just quoting him.

Also, lock this thread. f*ck this politicization.

I'm actually kind of annoyed that Whitlock isn't getting more credit (or blame) for writing that. Costas appropriately quoted him on the broadcast, but Costas is getting all the attention. I like Whitlock, mostly because he takes absurd positions on sports sometimes. Kind of like Steven A. Smith, who I also like.

I had actually read that article Sunday morning, way before Costas was involved, and was already disgusted by it. I suppose he's not getting more of the attention because people have to actively choose whether or not to read the article whereas Costas just forced the quote on everyone who was watching halftime of the night game.

While that is true, does nobody else find Bob Costas eminently ignorable? I do. I even kinda like Costas, it's just that I consider him basically a smarter color guy, and those I tune out because I like my brain cells.

But while it's simplistic and stupid for Whitlock/Costas to say definitely that if Jovan Belcher's house hadn't been full of guns that Kasandra Perkins and Belcher would still be alive and their baby not an orphan, it doesn't render false the fact that guns make it way easier for a temporarily unstable person to create real damage that affects everybody and it kinda looks like that's what happened here.

Here's the problem. He took it on a national stage, and injected politics. The closest comparison IMO is if Costas made a rant suggesting people should study the 10 Commandments and if everyone read their Bible, these people would still be alive.

I think that's why I love him. Also that he started in Philadelphia.

The best part about the show now is that Dawkins is on it. I love that man.

That is something we can agree on.

I also love Marcellus Wiley. He went to Columbia which is weird for a football player but cool.
