yeah...pushing the limits though of being able to have any respect for him whatsoever now. It was always a fine line, which was the point, and the comedy is black and one of a kind, but....Ill be interested to see what happens now, but it will, and can never be the same.

It was so obvious that the ending was going to go where it did. There was literally no chance that Deb would have made a different choice (given that we know there's another season).

they had to prevent dexter from doing it obviously, or it would have undermined his entire character...ironically enough

@Max: Yes watch Dexter. If anyone tries to tell you what happens at a point beyond where you're at. Put your fingers in your ears and go "LALALALA"

That does seem to be the approach the writers have gone with.

I didn't think 6 was great, but it was a helluva lot better than 5.

I don't watch the seventh season of anything. At this point they're just repeating the shit out of themselves.

Seventh season of 24 was pretty unique compared to earlier seasons.

Well, except for bit where Jack Bauer kills the terrorists.

ok i m not reading everything because i m not sure you guys all have spoiler alerts. Basically what I wanted to say is that after seeing the 1st episode of the seaason 7 I dropped dexter. This was one of my favorite TV shows and the first episode of the season 7 was way too stupid. running in circles again, it seemed like nothing new would be explored. So you guys are saying that the season 7 is worth it, and at least much better than the 6? As a former dexter fan, can I fall in love with the show again? I though it would be better to leave it as it is

Three seasons is my limit. I stopped watching Prison Break after season three, stopped watching Lost after season three and House after season three. I stretched it longer for Family Guy but I don't watch it anymore. Basically it boils down to this, a series will have said all that it has to say in three seasons, anymore than that and it starts repeating itself! Drawing up similar scenarios and imparting similar moral lessons. After season three it's outlived it's usefulness.

Prison Break was bad after season one. Lost was bad after season two. House was bad after season three.

But I stayed with them loyally to the end ;P

I think prison break's season 2 was ok, then it became real bad.. Or heroes... great first 2 seasons, then wtf...
Regarding lost, it's the best show ever, all the seasons are good IMO.

Nevertheless, it's too bad an original tv show almost never stop at its best... i think a show's success can be bad because they sign for many more seasons and quality goes down.

In that sense, getting cancelled may have been the best thing for Arrested Development...

As far as I'm concerned, Doctor Who can last forever, it will always be (by far) the greatest series ever.

Prison Break used to be good ? I'm just wondering because I saw the first season and it seemed pretty bad from the get go.
