How do I find out which maps are played the most?

I want to be able to find out how many times each map has been played. Is there a place to look at this sort of stat or do I just need to wade through game search?

there were several attempts at keeping track of such stats but it never lasted.

here are some results from july
it's an average games per day rank. in other words total number of games divided by the number of days this map has existed.

you'll notice classic is by far the most played map, followed by doodle and luxemburg which are very popular for short 1-3 round games. surprisingly we can spot some non classic gameplay maps in the top 10)

That's the only place that I have ever seen a count like that. It was compiled by DiM who was active in the Foundry ... perhaps someone there has some idea how it was put together. If you're really interested in it, I'd ask around there. And if you do update or find info, I'd be curious to know the results.

Working on something to make it an automated thing.... :-$

Do it manually is a pain and useless because it's never updated....
Actually I have no way to tell you how long it will take because I'm working on different projects related with maps and I'm a bit busy with RL stuff.
But I will post here as soon as I finish it.

Please give me the link so i can read it and see if what you ask is feasible.
It's not matter of priority...it's just matter of time. For 2 years all those suggestions where in the hands of a single person so the process was slow.
In future it will be different, trust me...just you need to be patient because changes require time.
Carbon needs time to become a diamond.

A thing I've learned in life....when you want a thing and you discover you have to wait for it, you can act in two ways:
1.complain
2.do it (or help to do it)

I'm for the second.
So qwert, gimme the link and let me see if what you ask can be done.

well someone who know how to implement these , will definitely ask for money,because who will work all thing here on Voluntaire stage?

I dont think that you will build all these for free, and to spend hours and hours for some other benefit?

Thanks for the hope-inspiring post, Nobodies. I, for one, would love to scour over a list such as this. I would think that for map-makers especially it would be a valuable tool. Once it's made you could probably then use other codes to determine which styles of maps, etc., were most popular and consider this data in future map making endeavors?

There are quite a few people who do quite a bit of work on this site for free

But I have always liked that suggestion. I would love to see it implemented. I don't know how far down the priority list it is, except to say it's not one of the ones that is currently being worked on.

Well you just poin out big problem here in CC-priority list, these its so hide from community that we dont know when will something be implemented, if these whas presented,then we will know what they doing and when will something be implemented, then we will avoide so many topic with same question every time.

This site love stats it seems

. Maprank should be made a permanent site fixture. The usefulness of that add on is tremendous. Can't believe "Medal stats" was implemented before Maprank was. Maprank has medal stats too, and a multitude of other functions. We once had a very useful external site made by chipv I believe, which (with the help of maprank) kept track of who had earned the most points on different maps, and settings. Make a thing like that a permanent fixture of the site! And put a link somewhere where people could actually find it. I can guarantee that people would love that!
