I appreciate you have learned Russian for 10 years, but i am taking that as it is from Google.

this is how it looks in cyrilic: Š‘Š¾Š³Š¾Ń€Š¾Š“сŠŗŠ¾Šµ - could you find there any i or y?... Russian is "soft" language. the Bogorodskoe is pronounced a litle as Bogorodskoie, but this is mistake to write it so. as I wrote Sydney as example is still Sydney, not Sidny because it is pronouced so...
cairnswk wrote:End of story. If many other players come in and say it should be otherwise, then i will change it...got the message.

...and how much people know Russian?
iancanton was the first who mentioned this (and I found iancanton as person who knows about what he speaking)...

your map, your decision, your mistakes ;) end of this. :)

I know Russian ^^.

The correct spelling is Bogorodskoye and Maryina Roshcha. The first one cannot be changed, the last one can be translated into Marina's Grove but we usually don't.

Russian is indeed a soft language but unless you speak it and know the caveats there is no way you can pronounce Roshcha correctly. But for foreigners you should spell it like that so they can at least imitate the sound.

According to google translate it is this. Bogorodskoe But when I put in cairns spelling I get this.

Both may be correct, one may even be more correct, but cairns has done his homework, got one of the correct spellings and this is a non issue.

Considering Dako is Russian, and he has no problem with it, go with your one cairns.

BGN/PCGN romanization system for Russian is a method for romanization of Cyrillic Russian texts, that is, their transliteration into the Latin alphabet as used in the English language. It is used by the Oxford University Press, among others, which refers to it as the British Standard.
Please read this article ā€” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BGN/PCGN_r ... of_Russian.
BGN/PCGN should be used when we are talking about geographical names.

There are many systems that romanize Russian words. For comparison table please read this article. http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A2%D1% ... 0.B8.D0.B8

hm, the BGN/PCGN system looks as the oldest one (which is in somewhere not clear - Š™ and also Š« are there represent as Y while some new systems made difference between them. what is correct). these another (and new) systems used e as e.

no changes required unless something comes from this....

Nolefan...we're giving +1 for a pair of Tsentralnyy regions....10 region pairs.
the overall lot is worth +13...so should the overall lot of +13 override the bonuses that will come from owning all the pairs.

outer regions total bonus = 20 (7 regions - 3+3+3+3+4+2+2)
Tsentralnyy +13 and pairs (10 x 1) +10 = 23.

That's a good question...perhaps the +13 should just be removed? It's not likely a person is ever going to hold that bonus until the endgame anyway, and person could still hold say, the inner ring and a couple of suburb pairs, and the outer ring and a couple of suburb pairs for a decent bonus.

Or, to makes things easier, having the +13 override everything is the simplest.

OK, let's do that....have the +13 override the +5 and +8, and the +10 pairs.

Noles, my system is down due to power failure on main computer where all my files are and needs rebuilding.
Gonna be several days, so just let my maps fall into bin if i don't get back to them soon.
thanks.

I won't bin them until after the 30 day mark, unless you're requesting them all be binned now.

OK Gills, we'll keep the +13 and there will be a map, just not right now for an update.

Attached is the updated XML. The only changes I saw over the past two pages is the overrides, so I've added those. Other than that, nothing else has been changed.
