Turn off default placements and default attacks

Q: is there a way to turn off the default placements and attacks? I know they are meant to be helpful but I never use them except by mistake which is always a horrible outcome. I always want to choose where I place armies and where I attack. Can it be an option?

The problem is that this is not default, is that being a list they should start somewhere, (alphabetical order in this case). So no you can't take it out, just pay more attention.

Do you know that you can use the drop down menu to pick different territories for attacking/dropping troops?

I think he wants both fields to start blank and I am pretty sure something like that could be done. I don't know if I would want it but it sounds reasonable.
