That works in a really odd way- it just fits, and I know it shouldn't.

I genuinely don't believe you. I think you don't want to like anything the beatles did, for whataver reason. Probably partly something to do with the type of personality that finds objectivism appealing.

Perhaps. It may be because Yellow Submarine is quite possibly the most annoying song ever, though.

Well that song is from a 60's animated movie soundtrack... you probably never heard the B-Side of the 45 version of "Let It Be" which is pretty obnoxious... You Know My Name.
and this extended version on youtoobe even more so.
Here's a decent Beatles Song . . . covered by Jeff Beck and Neil Young and the Beatles.

George Harrison's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3RYvO2X0Oo&feature=relatedWhile My Guitar Gently Weeps[/url] covered by A Pick Up Band including George's son Dhani... with a few hot licks tossed in.

Sublime even did a cover to this song. My drum corps played it as their ballad last year it was epic.

I'm a fan of Harry Nilsson and had never heard the Dylan cover.

Tonight I watched Austin City Limits and they had The Civil Wars performing
and they really killed it Live. They did a great cover of Billy Jean.

No covers, but also on ACL was The Punch Brothers. They're a Bluegrass band
who essentially extend the boundaries of the genre and they really cook.
Impressed enough to just order 2 CDs from Amazon.

I really liked all the acoustic guitar covers sung in Portuguese
of David Bowie (Space Oddity) songs in the Bill Murray movie
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.

I still haven't heard the original, but Pentatonix is awesome.
