I'm joining the Dubai police force

Last week, the city’s law enforcement welcomed a new addition to the fleet — a Lamborghini Aventador. Dubai’s chief of police Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim told GulfNews the Avendador was so well received, the force decided to add a Ferrari FF to its fleet.

“These sports cars will not be roaring and chasing speeding motorists,” he said. “They will be used for roads security in different areas of Dubai.”

The Aventador and FF are at the forefront of what Mr. Khalfan Tamim calls “updating the police patrol cars to enhance the security on roads in accordance with the highest international standards and technical developments.”

The police force posted a rendering of the FF on its Twitter feed. The actual car expected to hit the streets by the end of this week to confirm Dubai as magnificent and extravagant in all the services it provides, according to Mr. Khalfan Tamim.

The Aventador is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 good for 690 horsepower. The FF, on the other hand, is slightly less powerful, with its 6.3-litre V12 producing 651 ponies. It is, however, more practical thanks to its two extra seats in the back.

Although prevalent in Need For Speed games, adding supercars to police fleets is nothing new in the real world. Various police forces in Britain have Subaru Impreza WRX and Mitsubishi Lancer EVO patrol cars, in addition to Italy’s Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 cruiser.

Man, that looks cool! Can you imagine if you worked for the Dubai police force and you heard you were getting Lamborghinis and Ferraris added to the fleet?!

DAMNIT!
I am SERIOUSLY disappointed by that.
That would've been the best!
It's seriously just a goddamn prop, otherwise!

Dubai is being built with slave laborers kidnapped from India. And India is too poor to do anything about it.
Seeing this police car makes me sick.

True, though in fairness, I don't think RR was at all serious, or really trying to make a politican statement.

I'm not attacking the guy, he probably didn't even know anything about this. It's just so upsetting that we have slavery in the world, and nothing is being done to stop it.

The simplest solution would be that the UN/Interpol enforces it's anti-slavery treaty obligations. The 1926 Slavery Convention Treaty is still in effect, but the world police don't have any interest in enforcing it in Dubai.

Team America or is the "world police" another thing?

That's Interpol, the International Police. But If Team America wants to bomb the sh*t out of Dubai and rescue the Indian slave laborers, then they have my blessing and the full weight of the righteousness of God.

I think Interpol is too busy prosicuting people for copying videos.

"People" ARE doing something about it, but not our nation or any other nation as a whole, no.

Basically, it comes down to money. A .

I assume you mean 'not enough,' and not 'nothing.'
