What should one do when one has a lot of work pilling up and is feeling lazy? That's right: create a tournament.
This one will be a little bit more complex than your average tournament. Just because I feel like it.
Tourament structure: Round 1: Participants will be randomly placed in four 4-player games. Winners get 5 points each. Random map. Round 2: After that, participants will be randomly placed in quads teams. Two games. Players of the winner teams get 4 points each. Maps: First Nations Americas and Africa II Round 3: Now four games of dubs teams will be played (with the players, once again, randomly placed). Players of the winner teams get 3 points. Maps: Artic, Antarctida, Oceania and Eurasia. Round 4: In this round, players will be randomly drawn against each other in 1vs1 games. Eight games. Two points per victory. Map: Doodle Earth. Round 5: The players with the most points* will play in an 8-player game (game 1). The players with less points* will play another 8-player game (game 2). Winner and last 3 to lose of game 1 will advance to Round 6. First 4 to lose of game 1 and winner and last 3 to lose of game 2 will advance to Round 5 playoff. First 4 to lose in game 2 will be eliminated. Map: World 2.1 Round 5 playoff: One 8-player game. Winner advances to Round 6. The rest gets eliminated. Map: Circus Maximus. Round 6: Four rounds of 5-player games. Each win = 5 points. At the end, the two players with the most points advance to the final*. Maps: Duck and Cover, Arms Race, USA Apocalypse and Extreme Global Warming. Final: 1vs1 game. Winner takes it all. Map: Classic.
Settings: auto seq (in 1vs1 games)/freestyle (in other games) escalating chained foggy NO trench 20 round limit 24 hour rounds
All freemiums are welcome as long as they leave ONE slot empty for tournament games.
I really hope this tournament's concept is understood by everyone. Any doubt, please post it or send me a PM.
Reserve Policy: - I'll send an invitation. If not accepted, I will send another one. If that is not accepted as well, the player at stake will lose the game. - If the invitations are not accepted in round 1, 2 or 3, the player at stake will be replaced by a reserve. - If a player is replaced in round 2 or 3 by a reserve, the new player will get the replaced player's points.
* - If a tiebreaker is needed, a playoff in a random map will be played.
And, most important of all: HAVE FUN!
EDIT: xmezx wins the tournament!
