This seems like a perfectly and astoundingly AWFUL way to try to advertise. Unless by "advertise" you mean "piss off everyone in contact with you":

...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.

I have to admit, that sort of thing occurred to me too.

Or what a way to spread religion.

Advertising already goes too far... you pay to see a movie
and they run ads before the feature.

Ad people will soon occupy a status previously reserved
for used car salesmen and politicians.

I do suspect that their claim they'll find "God's match for YOU" is close to blasphemy. Unless God is their computer.

I hate advertising; I am very much a pay-for-it rather than a free-with-advertising kinda guy.

This is my current most hated commercial on TV:

I go to the gym to justify my mockery of fat people.

Across Google, I turned off I turned off "personalized ads." Now I see ads for things like:

I don t think it s a bad idea. This is the typical one shot type of campaign that would surprise people and give excellent brand recognition feedback. If this is used regularly it will be terrible. But see, this is not going to be used a lot. It s just to create some buzz and what they intended is working perfectly. You are sharing it with us right now and i now know about this sky thing.

But i understand that americans can hate advertising, in the US it s just completely offensive, it s not possible to watch tv and not lose your sanity, you got more adds than program almost..

Network TV definitely does. Guess that resolves a lot of programing problems.

Is that all the window says? Yeah, that would be lame; all the window doing is encouraging you to rest your head on more windows.

No worries, I'm sure if this actually became widespread someone(Funkyterrance?) would invent some sort of pad you could strap to your head to block the transmission.

A giveaway of free toothbrushes in London caused mayhem at the Waterloo underground station.

Evening Standard wrote:A promotional stall handing out free electric toothbrushes to commuters at Waterloo station was forced to shut down amid safety fears today after hundreds of people overwhelmed staff and caused “mayhem” on the concourse.

Rail bosses ordered the closure of Colgate’s “brushswap” event amid safety fears.

Toothbrushes are considered a rare and exotic implement in British culture and are highly sought after.

Not all that surprising though... They must tear through the toothbrushes with all the sweets they eat over there.
