When I think of a player who routinely succeeds with any game, any setting, any map...I think of TheCrown

mc05025 has to be. although he is a real life friend of mine, this doesn't make my statement so much more subjective. I have seen his thought process in detail. His main strength is adaptability. Give him any complex map&setting and he will very quickly find the optimal strategy. Excellent in freestyle (almost best), excellent sequential team player, excellent 1 vs 1, all maps & settings included. His approach to the game is almost scientific, not just recreational.
And this is why it's always a pleasure beating him!
Of course there are other very good players. I would like to mention Rodion

Regardless, Ollie is a great and well rounded player. He is the most well rounded player I have seen on this site.

so when you first nominated him..i searched him and found his wall but i also found your link to this forum where you are licking his balls. you must find lots of glory in licking his balls..can i go as far as to deem the action "glorious"?

If the point of this thread was to give the CCers with the biggest egos (you know who you are) another opportunity to brag, this thread was a success.

Arguing for or against a player as the strongest overall is a waste of time b/c people will throw more weight on certain settings to match their individual biases. How about a thread that asks everyone to contemplate the best player for specific settings (best freestyler, best with nukes, best at manual, etc.)?

No, it doesn't. When I read "overall" I see all game types, not just teams. Abiding my point system does not make you an overall player, in fact it makes you the opposite.

It does when you're talking about the "Strongest Overall Player". Which, btw, takes josko and mc out of the equation. Never seen them play a speed game, for example.

Game for Game, who do you think is the strongest overall player on the site? Someone who has shown success on all levels of the game, and is not afraid to play any style of game.

That means all settings, all game types, etc.

Since ive started to play tournaments in CC ive noticed 2 players that really impressed me.
As far as i know they were allways at high rank level(brig or colonel) , they just played any game, any tournament or any player.
Allways with great performances

i m tempted to say great ollie too. He s good at any setting, he is just more of a medal guy than a points guy. As a team player though, he had less time lately and is far from the level he had until a year ago or so.

Uckuki barely played speeders and trench, how could he be the strongest overall?

Other than freestyle, in game tactical skills will translate into any format quite well. Stats and probability as well. Just because some good players have not actually played all styles does not suggest they are not the strongest. It only suggests they have not proven it as of yet. Clearly, certain styles take an adjustment. However, if you are student of tactics you will learn it quite fast ...

499 of 1395 3-8 P non-team games (36%)

15k games total. So, 80% of his games were team games. Hardly all.


He excelled at all the settings and maps. HAd 1000 freestyle games.

Was the most eminent member of the community for many years, retained Conqueror longer than anyone. He sucked at mafia which is pretty much the only thing he didn`t excel at on the site. I think the retirement of Blitz did more to this site than the retirement of lack.

It remains ridiculous to try to find the best overall player on this site on the basis of who can play ALL the various settings on here the best.

The trick is to choose the most legit. record on the most legit. style, take freestyle completely out of the equation.

I would be looking at someone like Cof (there are a few others around him like laughingcavalier or loutil). These are the best overall players.
