I've been noticing this trend, and trying to figure out the cause(s):

I've played a number of doubles games where one team is quite obviously running away with the game, but (from the logs) no one seems to attack them, or even view them as a threat, and as a result they just breeze through the game ...

It's *lame*. What's the point of playing a war game if you're not going to fight? Does Risk have some pacifist expansion pack I don't know about?

Ok, what's the deal with everyone just stacking their troops all the time in no-spoils/flat-rate, no-turn-limit games? I can understand that tactic in escalating games where the reinforcements increase a lot over time, but I mean, in no spoils or flat rate, assuming people are holding roughly the ...
