Re: Classic-Style Polymorphic Slugfest (March 30 update)

Congrats to Kingm for advancing in the upper bracket.

Bracket updated on post 2.

The remaining matches are getting closer to a finish.

One thing I'm monitoring is YouOnKazoo has missed some turns yesterday. If he misses too many, I might just disqualify him. Arbitrary, I know, but it's my ...

Re: Classic-Style Polymorphic Slugfest R1 (3-20 update)

I secured my R1 win vs j1mathman, will be wrapped up in next 24 hours.

juke also advanced from that side of bracket, we may start quarterfinals if ready.

Congrats on advancing.

Earlier today juke requested that his next round start April 2 because of a personal event in his life. I chose to ...

2 turns a day would be great. Your match isn't even the slowest. Don't mean to rush anyone but it'd be good to keep it moving along.

Re: Classic-Style Polymorphic Slugfest R1 (3-20 update)

An update on the first round: there's a couple series that are getting close to declaring a winner.

There are a couple others that are going at a snail's pace. I was thinking originally each match would take about 10 days to finish but maybe that was too optimistic.

Would it be too much to ask ...

Re: Classic-Style Polymorphic Slugfest (Full) R1 started

Congrats to Juke and theelkspeaks for being the first to win matches. The rest of the series' are too early to call. As soon as we get a round 2 matchup solidified I will generate the round 2 maps line-up.

Re: Classic-Style Polymorphic Slugfest (15/16) Need 1 More

I got a little ahead of myself and generated the bracket and maps using random.org even though we're 1 sign-up short (I used a holder for the last player).

Here's a sneak peak:
The two highest ranked players will be locked into mortal struggle in the very first round. Good thing it's double ...

The bracket will be a little goofy because of the double elimination nature but just beat everyone who gets put in front of you and you're golden.

Re: Classic-Style Polymorphic Slugfest (11/16)

A bigger tournament would be fun but how would it fill up in a week when barely 10 players signed up for this one in a week? Unless you're suggesting CC players just get more excited with big numbers? Or do you PM every player you think might be interested?

This tournament was actually a primer ...

Re: Classic-Style Polymorphic Slugfest (1800+) (6/16)

My rating highly going up and down due to large number of games I am playing.
But I can say 1800 is my average level.
If that Ok, then count me in.

I'll add you in 48 hours if the tournament isn't filled up by then and as long as there are no objections from confirmed players.

The main reason ...

I'm going to be creating a number of poly games on classic-style maps on a weekly basis going forward. No passwords at this time (game looks pretty dead) but would prefer good competition so officers are welcome to join. Haven't played in a long time so might be easy points for ya.

Leehar has been disqualified from the tournament as there were to many instances of sitting. sdh is no longer premium and GioDuce is no longer on the site so they will not be advancing.

Re: The Championships - Polymorphic [Round 1b]

Yeah...updates?

I don't know about everyone else, but my games have been done for weeks.

These "official" tournaments are so slow, I'm beginning to think that this is all just a ploy to keep us renewing our premiums so we can actually finish the tournament. A money-making scheme.

If the ...

Re: The Championships - Polymorphic [Round 1a]

Great to see this tourney starting up :D

Though I miss the great variety of games promised in the settings. They say randomly escalating, nuclear, no spoils, chained, parachute, fog, sunny.

Is there a special reason why all games are boring escalating, chained, fog ?

Adding on to this ...

This is summer vacation period so just that everyone can see your pm and be aware that games are starting soon.

Disagree with this as already we have only finished 18 games a piece since this tournament started in April. I for one am concerned about ...

Re: The Championships - Triples [ONGOING]

Would it be possible to start the round 3 games soon? With all these Hives games in round 2 it could be weeks before they're all finished. These official championship tournaments are great in theory, but in practice they are all moving ridiculously slow. There has to be a way to get these things ...

Re: Jig's Fantasy Draft Event (Prizes Announced!!)

I've read through the thread and find this event to be really confusing but also intriguing.

I'd like to add some ideas regarding the format of the event that I think would be good for discussion.

An idea would be to decide matches with a total winning % of a teams players in a given 2 or 3 week ...
