I'm meaning the icons are blurry. And I feel your pain about text layers being multiple, but it's really handy for editing.

Re: Mega USA Map [30 Aug 2011] V2 pg 1

I decided to drop by so isaiah didn't end up crying himself to sleep tonight. Looks good for a start, and I'm also of the mind that it'd be a lovely capstone to the USA 6 Map Pack. Provided you can put every territory on the map.

Re: Marooned [30/08 : last update]

While the new icons are better than the color-coded carnival of confusion that the circles were, I think they're too indistinct. Blurriness just doesn't really fit for gameplay icons that define how the map works. Let the terrain and the sea be the blur section, but not what people need to ...

Re: ROME [3/8/2011] V 1 pg 6

I don't think the white bridges really work. They just stand out too much from the style of the map. Going with a similar structure but solid black (like your minor gates) is more likely to look good. I also agree with MarshalNey on the change to the bottom right's wording. And the top left's ...

Re: Denmark v12 [30 Aug 2011] pg6

I like the bright colors, it's a lovely reverse of the typical "cold=dark=Denmark" equation shown in a lot of other maps. Also, they're unlikely to cause color-blind issues with their large variance.

However, the bridges don't match the map's style at all. I would be more in favor of More Dots like ...

Cancel that. I'm under a lot of stress both in work and during my free time, and due to me effectively spinning R&C's gears to no real gain for the past few weeks working on it is a chore I don't have the mental patience for right now. As of now, Oliver and I are putting this map on vacation until ...

Killer neutrals are calculated as soon as player's turn begins, before bonuses. No bonus on a killer neutral will ever be collected.

Re: Salem's Switch [29.8.11] V13-P12 Fences?

I think black is the wrong color, or the vector is a bad one, because they don't look like fences at all. They look like boxes connected by lines, like some reject border style from Microsoft Word. I don't think that's your intent.

Re: Research & Conquer [21 Aug 2011] (Version 15 in P1 & P78

I've started work on Version 16. I've looked at your suggestion natty and I'm doing most of them. On the territory thing though, the current territories are 2 pixels wide. I tried 1 pixel early on in the map's life, and it looked terrible (never released, gotta trust me). Instead of redoing them I ...

I'm going to go on a different tack (no pun intended, I swear!): clarity needs some work.

"The emperor lies dead in the forum. Civil war is erupting across the city. Control of the gates are ...

When I was talking about the bridges, I wasn't meaning you need to change each one to be different. Just change the black line to be something like a bridge. What you've got for the Monzen-Nakacho / Moon Island connection would be fine.

Re: Salem's Switch [27.8.11] V12-P11 Fences?

Actually, Isaiah Currington could be a legit Salem-esque name. Just sayin'.

As for the actual map, please a different thingy other than solid red. You've got enough fences and they do break up the map well, but the red reminds me of my first version of The Citadel (used the exact same shade, no ...

Re: He is back! He is back!

As I recall, the only thing that needed to be changed was a legend element, uninvolved with the accuracy of the map itself, and only regarding its clarity. It wasn't a case of anyone asking for him to compromise his map's look, it was just the straw that broke the camel's back as best I can tell.

still no names on the map? would it really be such an impossible task to add names for the tech terits?

Re: Battle at Rorke's Drift.[210811]V.57C Pg1/33 Anything el

I'll agree with isaiah on the periods, you really don't need them and they could be re-interpreted as random (and wrong) pixels. Also, would it be possible to center the iButho chieftain names in the legend? With iButhos itself being centered, it makes more sense for all of them to be that way as ...

Updates:

- Added a note about researches assaulting in the legend
- Altered the bridge shadow to be more in line with the mountain shadow (consequently the west-side bridges are practically invisible shadow-wise)
- Altered ...

Ninja-re-reply: I agree with Victor and forgot to say it originally. The flag makes the title almost impossible to read. Perhaps lighter tones of red, white, and blue?
