it's a good idea, and it's educational (U.S civil, English civil, Many many civils, WWI and II etc.)

The fact is that some countries (Russia, Canada, China, USA) are just too big it makes it much easier to control territories, if you capture russia, for instance, you're instantly halfway to controlling the biggest continent on the board.

that map that's been suggested is too cluttered, the counties are too small so the person who designed the current map grouped them for a reason

that being said, i wish somerset were a seperate territory from dorset in the map...

but you can't have everything can you?

well, so far i've only played:

USApoc
British isles
Europe
Ancient greece
Germany

and i kinda like all of em, i reckon the british isles and the europe ones are ace, Germany, USApoc and greece are ok

circus maximus look's rubbish, but i'll never be able to play a game on it because every1 h8s it

maybe it would be easier to have both? and a seperate Europe map, as well, by the way, isn't Japan a little small on the draft eurasia map
