I also made it easier to figure out how it works by removing extra links.

Please note that we originally got rid of the huge dropdows because users, Tournaments and Tech Team mods complained about it and requested something better ...

There are 550 ongoing tournaments, that's still pushing the limits for a select menu. Let's give this solution a chance.

The problem with leaving a field is that some people might still type in "Michel's Tourney" and not realize that they're also getting games for "Michel's Tourney II"

The select field is now hidden when empty to avoid confusion.

The [find games] links in the original tournament finder now take you to the game finder with the tournament already selected for you.

I put in a popup tournament finder. Hope that solves this problem!

Dice Stats

You can now select the neutral player as opponent when filtering dice stats.


Finding Tournament Games

There were problems with the partial match field, you had no way of confirming which tournaments would match your search query and you might be matching more tournaments than ...

neutral is included, but there isn't a way to select neutral as an opponent. Hmm...

i typed in best. i have 5 tournaments starting with that.

Ok, as an organizer for running a clan war... typing in "2011" to find my clan war games brings up over 10,000 games... is there a way to narrow it down?

The beauty of partial match is that you don't need to type the beginning of the ...

if i type in a partial for the tournament i want it will give me the games from every tournament ever to have that partial in the name.

if i search for games via the tournament tab then i get every game for that tournament.

at least the old game finder allowed me to choose which tournament from ...

Yes there was. But now that is all over. Hopefully things will settle down now...

Dice Stats

After too many weeks of development and too many scheduled maintenance windows, we finally got this monster finished!

Perhaps partial match + a [search tournaments] link that takes you to the tournament finder (like the [browse maps] link)?

I agree something needs to be done about that rediculous drop down.

Here are the options I'm considering to replace the drop-down:
A partial match text field (it's easy to implement!)
An ajax autocomplete text field
A popup tournament finder next to a text field ...
