I've been a fan of Timbaland since I first heard "Luv 2 Luv U" back in the 90's.

I like a lot of the work he did for Aaliyah RIP especially.

Here's an interesting slide show about some dispute over one of Timbaland's songs. I don't know what to think, I know sampling is an accepted part of hip ...

And, for a controversial Hip-Hop choice, I'd like to nominate Pete Rock & C L Smooth - They Reminisce Over You. A Golden Era classic if ever there were one.

The beginning Uillean Bagpipe rendition of "Doinna" by John McSherry...sends chills down my spine every time I hear it, and makes me want to bust out and cry! :D

Thanks everyone for dealing with the troll. Drama over, now back to business.

I find myself enjoying "Ayo Technology" even though it features Mr. Cent. The attractiveness of this track certainly rests on the newest dynamic duo of hip-hop, Timbaland and Timberlake.

The beat is "off the heezy", in ...

I predict that Koala Bears will first take over Australia, then Oceania, then the rest of the world. First by luring unsuspecting people in with their cuteness, then brutally raping them with Eucalyptus branches.

Well duh, I thought that was fairly obvious... And they're gonna make Tokyo their HQ ...

Good match in the end. Saw a lot more out of Italy that I expected. Managed to keep the points close enough to pretty much prevent a Welsh loss overall next weekend.

So roll on Super Saturday (as they were enthusiastically calling it on the BBC). Up The Welsh!

Anyway, getting the thread back onto a hip-hop tip again...

One of the albums I've had on rotation recently, and one of the best I've heard in a while, is Sky City by Son of Ran. He gave it away free, so here's the (perfectly legal) download link:

So, what the poll and this discussion should really be about, is wether or not waterboarding is considered torture, or if it is a valid interrogation method. And we need to do this with every method we are going to use.

Does it make a difference that the US have prosecuted people for using ...

Good stuff. It's a great album. 'Rap gets jealous' really is a joyous thing. Best when driving too fast down the M1.

Good call on Hurt.

One song which really really gets me is Fuori Dal Mondo by a composer called Ludovico Einaudi. Originally composed for an Italian film and most recently used in Shane Meadow's 'This Is England'.

I'm not overly into martial arts movies, but I've got Shogun Assassain (actually found it in the changing rooms at work, which was a bonus). Must give it a watch again (although I have a ridiculous catalogue of movies I've not seen to plough through).
