Re: TRAFALGAR [22 Jul 2011] P42-V54 Gameplay Question

OK after looking at this (and like Dim, at the wrong Achilles at first... there's a doppleganger Swiftsure nearby that attracts the eye) it seems that Dim's count is correct, if your map of the neutrals is accurate then Britannia and Spartiate should be included in your total, and there are indeed ...

Re: Tribal War - Florida v4.0 [21 Jul 2011] pg7

All changes look good to me... I would take the comment about the Conquistador icon under serious consideration, however. It looks nice, but now that it has no gameplay function it only serves to confuse as all of the other icons have a meaning listed in the legend (unless one needs to hold both the ...

Re: Tokyo [17 Jul 2011]

Sorry for the long delay, shakey... I was unavoidably unavailable

Anyway, it seems the map has flourished in my absence. Your numbers for the map are doubtless correct, I was afraid that I might have counted a couple of bogus regions when I assumed that Tokyo U and the Tokyo Dome also had a ...

Re: Conquer Rome (The Fall of the Roman Empire)

The Historical Cartographers' Society steps in! Thanks guys, and good to see this map still kicking :)

The last two updates in particular were a big step in the right direction I think. There are more than a few places that could use some simple tweaks for even better clarity, but I'm not really ...

Re: Tribal War - Florida v3.3(Map Updated 2011-06-02; pg4)

I realize that I'm a bit behind on my promised feedback, so I'll send out my thoughts even though I haven't organized them as properly as I would like...

Clarity is a tough one for the mapmaker, I think, because it's all about explaining something that already makes perfect sense to oneself. It's ...

Alas, this map has been put into the Recycling Bin at the mapmaker's request. If anyone should care to revive the map, they must first post an update for review by the Foundry team.

Re: Conquer Club Divine Meteorological Condition (New p.4)

OK, Memorial Day weekend is over for me, my Seattle friends are back safely on their plane home, so let's see how to get this map on to stickydom and stamping...

Re: Looking for a partner

It's Memorial Day weekend, plus it's sometimes hard to find partners, although I 100% think that you're going about it in the right way to look for one. The maps with more than one person have a much higher success rate if the workload is reasonably distributed.

You just have to understand that ...

Re: Tokyo

Thank you Marshal!

About the graphical/clarity ..
1. I agree that the landmarks are inconsistent. Will fix. Fuji TV is supposed to be in Odaiba, will move it so it is clearer. Tokyo U and Tokyo Dome seem to be the only things going on in their respective areas of the city, which is why they aren ...

Re: Tribal War - Florida v3.2(Map Updated 2011-05-24; pg4)

Taking a look at this with relatively fresh eyes, I think that:
(1) I'll need a little more time to think upon this map before giving decent guidance, and
(2) There are definitely some clarity issues

Sorry I'm not being more specific, trust me that once the Memorial Day weekend is over I'll have ...

Re: Epic Epoch (v8 p8)

Heh, I'm not trying to reopen an old argument by saying "Supersize". Really, it's just the obvious, um, "fullness" of the map that prompted my reaction. I'd be the first to say, for instance, that Waterloo could have used a wee bit more room. And just to be clear, in no way was I proposing more ...

Re: Conquer Club Divine Meteorological Condition (New p.4)

OK let me start by saying Thank You, Thank You for a Detailed First Post. By showing a breakdown of deployable and neutral regions, and the number of regions dropped for different numbers of players, you've saved me a lot of time =D>

The central idea of two parallel 'worlds' is perhaps not new in ...

Re: Tokyo

Okay here's my count on the map breakdown, correct me if I'm in error:
23 Suburban regions
26 Old Tokyo regions
30 Central Tokyo regions

These give a +1 bonus for every 5 regions of the same type.

There are 9 landmarks, some of which appear to be a part of a bonus area and some which are ...

Re: Tokyo

I've got quite a few comments to share on this map (and like Evil D's maps, I'm aware and apologize for the delayed review). I'll post them tomorrow. I will say here, however, that the one thing that strikes me after analyzing this map was that in all games except 7 or 8 players, each player is ...

I'll give this a nudge to a sticky, but before this gets stamped it will require an updated first post. The gameplay starting positions and deployment should be there, for instance, along with bonus values if possible.

I agree, the extension was an enormous boost. Put the small image in bigimg tags too, since the extension puts it under your fine collection of medals in your avatar!

Otherwise, well... those bombing missions need some kind of symbolic correlation to the map before I can kick this over to graphics ...

Got the green light from the Foundry Foreman, so Griff you may start your engines and supersize the small map (only) by 50 pixels in each dimension.
