Re: Eurasia [12.1.12] pg28

Without the starting positions this map would be less a niche like Feudal war. The map is special enough as a conquer map in my opinion and I would probably play it more. On the other hand it could be interesting to have battles on the east and west first and then a clash of the titans?

I liked the mountains as they were before with the integrated territory lines. Why did you try a new mountain?

Re: Eurasia [11.1.12] pg27

East China and West China are pretty equal now. Except that West China can be attacked from more places. Maybe change Shaanxi to East China then? You can call East China then Han Chinese for a less geographical naming ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ethnolinguistic_map_of_China_1983.jpg ).

Nice images. Only question is why the countries have their own colours, they don't have their own bonuses right?

So all players start in the same stronghold? It will be standing in line to get out of the gate and grab some bonuses if I understand it well.

Re: Portland [19 SEP 2011] v.42

The army numbers on the black MAX windows have not the best readability. Could they be placed on the white parts?

Also the legend is very big in the large map. My screen resolution is 1400x900 but the text is really coming towards me so I prefer the small map to play on.

Re: London [6.9.11]

The first title is too prominent and is not really an improvement. Smaller, more basic and more depth could work.

The second one has a kind of modern look. Something more exciting is to assemble the letters from landmarks. Like the O's could be an abstract London Eye.

This looks like a solid base to me. Please remember the restriction for small maps: 600px height or you will have to go supersize.

Re: Battle at Rorke's Drift. [03 09 11] V.64 TEST PG 38

The rifle is nicely done but it gets a bit packed.

No decoration at the title would work for me. Or maybe a shield as background instead of the wall?

Re: Battle at Rorke's Drift. [03 09 11] V.64 PG 38

Title is a bit more freestyle now. The arrow is clear but the shield is hard to regognise if you haven.t seen an overview. Maybe make the illustration smaller? I like the font.

The menu is set to hide. If it doesn't appear if you
1. move the cursor to the left and deactivate this setting in the menu than you could try
2. opening a game to see if this setting is not in effect during games or
3. solve it by reinstalling BOB.

You are making me curious. Post it!

An idea to fit a temple front in the current size: crop the lower part where the playable map ends. Legend can be put at the top over a temple background.

Re: ROME [3/8/2011] V 1 pg 1

It is possible of course to give a bonus for 10 out of 30 and 20 out of 30. In my opinion this favours the one with +10 or +20 gates at the drop because the troop bonus will be somewhat high and it could be that the game is determined at the drop in 1v1 games. With a more gradual scale like one ...

Re: Gettysburg [31/7/2011] V 1 pg 2

I understand u want to give a reward for holding a route to the city, the city and a route from the city. Only is the legend not very consistent in this (3 for all of To Hagerstown and to York) where there is a gap in the route. Is it an idea to draw routes on the map just like your Rome map instead ...

Re: Gettysburg [31/7/2011] V 1 pg 2

The legend mentions a conditional autodeploy which is not possible (yet). You could use a normal bonus for holding Gettysburg+surrounding region.

You still have a conditional autodeploy in the city (hold Gettysburg + two bonus zones). This is not possible. Why would this reflect reality anyway ...

This last mountain version is definitely more icey than the first post. Some shade could help make them keep the depth and contrast? Talking about shade, Does the light ever come from the northwest?

The dotted line behind the compass could be bent to the left.

Re: ROME [3/8/2011] V 1 pg 1

Thanks for the impassibles. The map is good to comprehend now. I would suggest making territory borders a bit thinner so they look less like impassibles. For example the border between Tomb of Augustus and Temple to Neptune looks better.

I wouldt worry about the drop with a victory condition. To ...
