Re: Soccer/football map [version 5]

(FIFA) World Cup is pretty obvious. Only FIFA is copyrighted. With a year in the name it gives a theme and player scheme.

The finals of "World Cup 1972" has some great players. And "World Cup 1988" is a classic of course...

Re: LOST

Some elements from lost could be integrated in Marooned: ( http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=583&t=146086 )

Elements that are generic for marooned islands:
A crashed plane for supplies (+1 bonus),
indigenous tribes (bonus for uniting them),
fishing places (auto deploy),
seeds ...

Re: map idea: Moon Race

I find the bonus allocation of territories a bit confusing because the map and city symbol often doesn' t match.

- Saudi would more logically belong to South Asia
- Ukraine would more logically belong to RussAsia
- Malaysia would more logically belong to South Asia or ...

Re: Philadelphia - updated 5/30 pg 17

I like the pipes and the idea to connect it to the inset. It reminded me more of a billboard though. In that case you shouldn't see the bricks behind the inset.

I'm not too fond of the bells. In combination with the ivy it's Chrismas. Making circles or 88's might help to check the available space.

Re: Dice Stats

For me, my individual dice rolls are actually +luck, but my battle outcomes (last 25 games in particular) are overwhelmingly negative. It does seem that regardless of how good or bad my rolls are, the defender always seems to beat me by a little.

Dice Streaks script can tell you the battle ...

Re: LOST

Its a cool source of inspiration. Also the old temple with the smoke monster, healing pool and time machine could play a role.

For the names we would need a recognizable alternative like in Midgart
Lost = Nowhereland
darma initiative = karma foundation
the Pearl = Monitoring Station
the Swan ...

I would like to graduate in terminator style. Suggestions in the Classic map have been useful for other maps. Started here as prvt first class and now captain.

Maybe doubles training in the future!

Re: Any maps using no dice.

Solution could be to generate bonuses 100 times normal. This way the big numbers will normalise the outcome. For example 400 v 300 is more predictable than 4 v 3.

Re: World Cities Contest: Dubai

See first post for the updated map.

the metro stations are not separate regions in their own right, but they simply allow troops to assault along the coloured lines. is that correct?
Yes they belong to the region they are in.

ur intended conditional borders, which let u assault one metro ...

I know the contest is over but here my idea a little further worked out. 48 territories+14 intersections makes 62.

Thanks for the support.

A rule was that the graphics are left out. To make it clear I used Gimp for editing http://sannemanrobinson.x50.cc/DubaiV1.xcf and this SVG http://sannemanrobinson.x50.cc/d.svg .

Here is version 1:
52 lands+10 roads = 62 territories

World Cities Contest: Dubai

Dubai is (or was) a booming city with lots of scryscrapers and malls. On the other hand there is Bur Dubai and Deira with the renovated old town. My Idea was to cover the booming city with highways and metro for transport over larger distances. The highways are at the same time acting as barriers ...
