You know those Hollywood STD charts you occasionally get in the trashy magazines?

Made me laugh, anyway.

I think it's a great map. Keep going. If nothing else because it's such a great parody of an aspect popular culture. A broad grin breaks out on my face every time I see the latest version.

What's wrong with "It's a small world" as the title? It's fun.

"World 5.0" takes it a bit too seriously. Since we already have a World 2.1 I'd choose an original title.

When this goes live it probably will become one of the most popular maps. Brilliant playability, now a brilliant revamp. Awesome work, KEYOGI!

It's been brought to my attention that I've quoted the width. KEYOGI actually means the maximum HEIGHT should be 510, whereas mine is 624 (and even that is on the small side).

This is the revised size 500 max height in line with KEYOGI's suggestion for the LARGE version of Jewel of the ...

KEYOGI - are you happy with the above sizes? I know the largest one is 10 pixels above your "max" but if I made it 49% that would skew the original image. It would be nice to have the 50% one; plus there is the argument we do not want maps to be too small for people to read.

Really good feel about the map... the look is right and the logic opens up areas for other maps to follow.

I preferred the older text. Easier to read. However, the handwritten text is more in keeping with the style and when you've learned how to play the map once, you don't need to read it again ...

I find it weird how you call it an ocean passage when there is no ocean. Also a title is drastically needed. the legend text seems slightly blured too. I would sharpen that up a bit.

Indian Ocean?

Title not needed.

Legend was blurred around the edges. That was deliberate, looks better blurred ...

Title removed. Desert and mountains note removed - not necessary. It's obvious you can't attack through those barriers. (There are many maps without this kind of text).

I'm sorry I've changed the background colour again! It's darker but I've rammed up the background image so that it is more visible ...

No, it's not that, it looks like a super-raspberry.

But mostly it looks too flashy and thereby out of place on this map which isn't flashy at all. It's too good for my map.

It's an impressive graphic, no issue with the graphic, just hilariously nonononono, doesn't look good on this map.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! [echo]

Classic, USA and Canada don't even have titles just to name a few. They play fine. Why is this such a big issue with this map?

It doesn't need a title. Brilliant. It shall be removed.

"Desert and mountains are impassable" can be moved to the top right.

Actually, I'm not sure now. The whole reason for a faded title was so the patterned background shows through. I've got a patterned title now and it looks terrible. Much prefer the existing faded look.

Any other ideas? I'm not saying it needs to change. It's okay as it is... probably. Who knows.

I can apply pattern to the text using masks but I don't have that same background, or any kind of jewel background. I'd have to get a jewel image and repeatedly paste it. And I'm not sure that would be a suitable background. Does there have to be a jewel effect? I think it will look a bit tacky.

I ...

Jewel of the Empire looks distinctive. Colours go well together. Background is ...

Hehe. Very shrewd. Calcutta vs Assam probably comes a close second as the map's hot spots go.

There should always be room for more maps, so this map cannot be called "India", which today refers to the modern state India.

I do agree that India is relevant.

"Colonial India"

"Jewel of the Empire"

Since I'm not going to have a jewel graphic perhaps "Colonial India" would be the better ...

That it could be called India?

Another reason why India can be scratched is it's confusing to have a subtitle and there could in the future be an Indian map and the name "India" should be reserved for that map.

You have a map of a very specific location, one country infact, and at a specific time period. It does not have a wide appeal but it is not suppose to.

Surely it's very famous time period though - colonial India is at least as famous as, say, Alexander's Empire. Someone has to do it.

Those ...
