In short, after one tap on a 4v3 you have about a 1/3 chance of killing 2, 1/3 chance of killing 1 and loosing 1, and 1/3 chance of loosing 2. Except the odds are slightly in your favour of killing 2 (ie. 37.17%, not 33.33%)

I would say its common in 1v1 speed games, though less so now because of the resign button in trench games.

I would consider it poor form in a 24 hour game, esepcially against a freemium as that ties up a valuable spot for 3 days
