Or not. Two players in the Alexandria era this round have dropped the tournament and both reserves I've tried to contact since have not responded. It makes no sense to seek out more reserves when they could lose their only game and be out of the ...
...cuts the # of Independent games in half (from 40 per player to 20 per player).
Der, math is hard. Actually it works out to 40 games per player or 80 if every independent played each other once on each issue. We'll need 8-12 games per player for 4 weeks just to get to 40 and keep pace with the ...
Round 6 - Fifth Jump Lurkerleader is our first finalist, followed by ejph . Congrats to both. They'll each receive a win bonus (5 and 4, respectively) while they wait for their other opponents in the finals.
GreenBaize, traffic133, Tupence, hopalong lost in Ancient Greece and will remain there ...
The first batch of games have been sent for the Republican & Democratic debates. However, I have a bit of a conundrum...
A lot more players made it through to this round than I anticipated. I knew there could be a tie, but did not expect 5 ties (2 in the GOP, 3 in the Dems). I also did not expect ...
Leitz defaults on his final letter and is out of the tournament, making giannikas the winner on Hoop 1. Giannikas did not acquire a single letter during the first round.
He'll have a bit of a wait as the other hoops wrap up, though HighlanderAttack has a chance to eliminate Jinks & chapcrap with ...
THE BUCK STOPS HERE The fundraising round has finished and after many back-room deals, empty promises, and compromises... we have our primary candidates ! Congratulations to those that suckered and swindled their way to a ...
callmecommander has acquired his final letter and is a HORSE. Thanks for playing.
Leitz is one letter away and may have stopped playing. If the final game is not joined, he/she will receive an E and be booted - potentially making giannikas the winner on Hoop 1.
This whole thread seems so pointless to me. Its all a matter of taste and preference what is good, bad, better, worse, etc. Some people love maps I can't stand, while other hate maps I love (or make). To each their own.
I will echo that it is tough starting out. It was hard to keep going on ...
Every time I see a post about "What is wrong with the foundry", I can't help but think of all the hissyfits that take place here. The only thing wrong with the foundry are the colossal egos.
changing the settings once the tournament has started? not cool.
The final 4 (or 6) candidates would just play fewer times on US Senate & City Mogul and more times on the maps they chose at sign-up. I didn't think this would offend anyone since that stage of the tournament is still far off.
In order to break up the monotony of Senate/City Mogul maps in the final round (General Election), I've changed some to candidate maps. These will be played on the two "Top Issues" maps the Presidential nominees chose during sign-up. I also moved Chicago to the final batch of maps to ...
