Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

Actually, you do bring up a good point in my wording...My problem isn't actually the RULING ITSELF - rather, it is Hobby Lobby's position that led to the ruling.

It was just another angle at a law that was deemed constitutional. They only challenged a statute. Lets face it , if it was about ...

Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

Was counting Carter,Clinton twice and Obama.LBJ was the last president who ever did anything significant for the average American. We need to FDR to rise out of the ashes like a phoenix and give the bulk of this nation something to hope for not just the freaking 1%.

So now it's the government's ...

Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

Five catholic male supreme court justices all appointed by republican presidents , undermining democracy on a daily basis.

Our Constitution undermines democracy on a daily basis as well. Good thing we instead have a republic that is supposed to be run under the Rule of Law (although the current ...

I'm still glad my vasectomies are covered though.

It's probably not free though, unlike the birth control mandate for women's contraceptives.

Now that John Roberts and the 4 corporist's have ruled your employer not your doctor will be making your health care decisions they will next rule ...

Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

You do know that the founders of this country created a Republic and not a Democracy. I have mixed feelings on the Supreme Court ruling and wonder why such a thing was pushed this far in the first place. There may be more to this than has been revealed, as to the true intent behind these "religious ...

Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

How is all this conservative fear mongering and women-hating answering to the point the OP made in the beginning? By eliminating access to birth control choices for one's employees (because one does not believe in humans getting abortions) will inevitably lead to said employees getting abortions ...

Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

What access to easy contraceptives have been taken away by the ruling? All I see is that one person can't be forced to pay for someone else's contraceptives simply because the one person owns a business.

This clearly makes it more difficult for women to access contraceptives. How does it NOT make ...

Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

Besides, I thought progressives always say that we're supposed to stay out of the bedrooms of other people. Shouldn't that mean we don't have to pay for their activities also?

The contraceptive mandate exists because access to contraceptives is important for women's health. There are benefits to ...

Re: Hobby Lobby Ruling

don't worry fella's Hobby (hypocritical) Lobby still covers vasectomies and Viagra. Provides a pill to men that drives them to have sex and then tells women good luck.

Tells women good luck while providing 16 of the 20 mandated forms of birth control? Sounds like it's the woman's fault if she ...

This ruling shows us that corporations can deny their employees the right to regulate their fertility.

No, this ruling shows us that corporations don't have to pay for some contraceptives when they believe, based on evidence that is somewhere between flimsy and non-existent, that these particular ...

More TD Changes

I'm more than a little late in announcing this, but as you may have noticed, we had a couple of significant departures from the TD Department recently. My right-hand TD Serbia chose to step down recently. He was a great assistant and sounding board for me while working through issues in the ...

Re: Fake Clan War 2 (winner in OP)

How is this tournament completed when only 8 games have been played in the finals out of 41? You need to make the games as requested by the teams and finish out the tournament properly, or I will find someone who will.

If you try and do that, I will drop all my tourneys and never run any again ...

When you have problems in tournaments, those should be posted in the Tournament General Info forum or PMed directly to me. C&A doesn't deal with tournament issues and you're lucky I stumbled across this one.

Are the 2 points for winning while eliminating only 1 player in addition to the 3 points for winning the game or in place of the 3 points? It's unclear if the 2 is a substitute value (a penalty) or an additional value (a bonus).

Re: ObamaCare - "Give up your phone to get it!!!"

Just as we suspected.....as soon as the feds took over the health care industry, they would proceed to base every other illegal executive action on doing so to better people's health. That's their justification for their massive end-run around Congress to enact cap-and-trade and other environmental ...

You need to find a while to get the tournament down to one winner. Plus your current format doesn't guarantee players would play at least 3 games.

Ok, I'll allow it. You may already know this (since your counter is at 0/16), but you won't be able to play in this tournament since you're assigning the targets/bonuses in private.

Re: Assassinating 8 Thoughts [0/16]

Why can't you just play Assassin games through the system? I don't see a reason to use Terminator games then have targets picked by you in private.
