Scoreboard

Hello CC! Here we go again, the 2024 Paris Olympics is right around the corner, we wil be bringing back the Olympics. Can your tribe walk away with the title? Can you take individual glory?
In 2022 WTF claimed the title. Who will follow?

As before, the event will have its Tribes scoreboard with generous prizes. You don't have to be part of tribe to participate.
Everything will be automated, there is no need to sign up.

IMPORTANT:

  • Time for tribe allocation to be set as 23:59 CCT, July 31. Also you have to LOG IN before that time, and that is when it assigns your tribe membership. So it will assign you to the last tribe you are in when you log into the site before 23:59 CCT, July 31.
If you change Tribe after this date/time, your score will still count for the Tribe you were until the "lock".
  • In some tournament you may see an asterisk « * » by some settings, this mean all listed settings will be spread evenly through the set of game for a round.

Current active Tribes are 4 Primitives & 13 Advanced, if you want to create a new Tribe, check this thread that will tell you how to proceed.

How to Play

  • There are 31 auto-tournaments running on a schedule accessible from the scoreboard page.
  • You can join each tournament once.

The organization is orderly, with a variety of auto-tournaments where members could compete for tribe-wide or individual glory.

Are you sure? You have 17 ribbons. Ribbons are not awarded until the entire event finishes.

I don't understand how these events work for pushing people to the next round.

For instance, https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php? ... t_id=13309 - why did I get to Round 4 instead of josko.ri? It doesn't make sense at all. Was down to 4 people, josko won his match and KKlemen won the match vs me...so it should be KKlemen and josko.ri in the final, right?

I don't want anything I didn't earn, so I'm hoping this can be fixed. I will delay taking my first turns as long as possible.

You had the same score, so it would go to the next rung of the tiebreaking ladder:

https://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=tournaments5
Scoring
By default scoring is based on number of Game Wins over the entire tournament. However, individual Rounds may Reset the scores, so that the scoring will begin again from that round. When the first round of the Tournament is seeded by score, the player's score at time of joining the tournament is used in that round only. Players that have been inactive (not logged in) for 7 days at the time of the scoring will have their score zeroed.

Ties in Score shall be broken by the following rules, applied in order:
  • Percentage of wins in the tournament as a whole
  • The cumulative number of Game rounds required to win the games they have won in the tournament (since the last point reset, or the start of the tournament if no point reset has occurred). Note: winning in less rounds is better.
  • The order in which the player joined the tournament (first player to join wins)

Josko's 6 wins were scored in 59 rounds, your 6 wins were scored in only 41 rounds. Clearly, you win on tiebreaker #2.

I personally think this is something that should be adjusted if possible. The way it reads is that 16 start, the 8 winners move on and then 4 winners from that group and finally the 2 who won the Round 3 matches. For me to move on simply because I won more quickly doesn't seem fair. Besides, it's usually the games that take LONGER that are more impressive to finally win, at least in my opinion.

Also, using the lower rounds to win would give an advantage to people who are randomly selected to face people who deadbeat...if it's the same in speed games, that is ridiculous. Being awarded for winning a game in less rounds simply because your teammate doesn't show is highly suspect.

Yeah, I don't disagree.

The tiebreakers could be made more sophisticated.

But it's probably a back-burner item.

Very tricky to implement as it would also affect the calculations and subsequent rewards for previous tournament tie-breaks if this was applied automatically and consistently.
