jwo2008
[player]Captain Bonehead/player]

The accused are suspected of:

Being Multis
Conducting Secret Diplomacy

Game number(s):

Game 18218909

Comments:

They are either a multi, or conducting secret diplomacy. I started to get suspicious when red played to give green the game. Then I checked their history and found they play together a lot, and make sure one or the other always wins.

They have 40 finished game together.
Two 4-player games, and 38 3-player games.

For the two 4 players games, 1 was won by none of the accused
For the 38 3-players games, 11 of them were won by none of the accused, which for 3 players games is almost exactly what someone would expect. ( we'd expect 12,6 win per player).
16 were won by jwo2008
11 were won by Captain Bonehead

I didn't look into the games, but statistic doesn't seem to suggest they are cheating, or they are doing it poorly.
Especially in a 3 players games, if they are cheating, they should win closer to 100%.

I didnt say they were good cheaters, just cheaters.

Why else would red intentionally throw the game to his buddy?

Doesn't look like that to me.
Maybe he made a poor move previously, but that's all.

I'll focus on jwo moves only :

Round 10, round 11 and round 12, jwo2008 had South America and he broke Captain Bonehead who had North America ( thus the biggest bonus), all this time you had Africa.
Round 13 you took europe, then jwo2008 stop attacking Captain Bonehead and start attacking you who now has a +3 and +5 while Captain Bonhead didn't have any bonus anymore.
Round 14 and round 15, he start deploying Bogota, thus either stacking next to Mexico, or actually trying to break the NA bonus from Captain Bonehead.
Round 16 he deployed next to your border
Round 17 he split between your border and Captain border.
Round 18 he deployed mumbai
Round 19 he broke again the NA bonuus from Captain Bonehad
Round 20 and round 21 he deployed Bogota, thus again preparing or trying to berak NA bonus from Captain Bonehad.
Round 23, he deployed Bogota, but you already broke Captain Bonehead bonus, thus he broke you in Africa. At the time both you and Captain Bonehad ahave 17-18 regions ( +Oceania for Captain, but you would have had +3 in Africa if jwo hadn't broken you.
Round 24 he deployed Sao Paulo thus trying to break you or preparing too, failed. You have africa, captain bonehead have Ocenia.
Round 25 he split deploy between Sao Paulo ( you) and Bogota ( Captain)
Round 26 he deployed Bogota
Round 27 he broke NA bonus from Captain from Bogota - according to time stamp this is when you compained ( 2018-05-08 00:38:51 - xroads: nice job red, you handed him the game ) not sure why
Round 28 he keep attackin NA, taking Los Angeles and Havana ( you stacked Dakar, you droped 8 and Captain droped 7 this turn)
Round 29 he attacked Dakar ( but then he again previoulsy you were dropping 8 to the 7 of Captain)
Round 30 he attacked both of you, breaking NA bonus and moving in Africa.

Seems to me the whole game jwo was the smaller player, and was keeping the balance. And he actually broke Captain bonus way more often than yours.

after I started complaining in chat. he had a large stack on bogota for quite awhile he did nothing with. When I had a short 2 continent bonus, green still had a very large troop advantage.

when green has more troops then both of us combined, he would ignore green and keep hitting me.

That is play to make sure I dont win, and green does.

You dont find it strange they play a ton of 3 player games together without sharing that info?

I can't say for the large troops advantage green (captain bonehad) might have had earlier as I wasn't there and I don't have access to snaps.
But you are saying he had quite a large stack on Bogota and did nothing with it.
You complained on round 27, as the log said, he broke green bonus 3 times before that.

Also, since he was the smaller player, it seems smart play to stack and let both of you fight, hence the stack on Bogota he might have had.
If he was trying to hand the game to green/captain bonehad,he wouldn't have been stacking Bogota, he should have been stacking asia, or Sao Paulo.
Also he shouldn't have break 2 times Captain Bonhead bonus earlier in the game.

Actually you are round 30, and ok seems right now captain bonhead has an advantage, but your total number of troops aren't that far off, and if both red and you work together you should be able to keep Captain Bonhead in check. To reach round 30, to me, it means red was successful in preventing any of you to take the lead.

Do you mean they should have disclosed beginning of the game that they often play together ? If that's what you mean, no I don't think they should disclose it.

Also they played 40 games together, over 1365 for jwo and 1701 for Captain Bonehad.
I'd assume they noticed each other, especially since those are 3 players games. But seems they like the same settings mainly. It's not that many games played together either.

I think jwo might have done what you think is a poor move, and maybe a move that could give the game to Captain Bonehead, thus it made you a bit angry, and then suspicious.
But I think it's only one bad move over 30 turns. That's all.

they are not multis.

I am still far from convinced they are conducting secret diplmacy.
