It's not the nicest thing to post on a public forum, and it certainly is not cool.

Especially as it was of explicit sexual content, and without a NSFW warning or whatever.

If you scroll down the page, there is a picture of a naked girl. The caption claims she's 14, and you can see her bare breasts. Posting childporn should constitute an immediate permabanning.

I agree, I don't know how old the girl was riding the broomstick, but I would guess her to be around 14! I don't know if she really is or not. The website is clearly made for pedophiles. Quite the sick minded post....

I won't post the iamge that goes with the caption, but... It said, quite clearly:

Fourteen-year-old Lucy Mountjoy riding her broom

You can see she's naked in the picture, and you can see her breasts. It's halfway down the page. That's child pornography. No other way to describe it.

I think calls for a perma-ban might be a bit harsh but definitely a ban and a break from the forums is a necessary punishment.

I think it should be harsher because it just wasn't your regular porn site, it was underage girls (unless child pornography is legal in Canada now-a-days?). If the police were able to find that stuff on my or anyone else's computer, they would be spending the night in the hoosgow!

Posting CP will get you permabanned on 4chan, the most lawless place on the internet. If it doesn't get you banned here, there's an issue...

I don't think that's comparable, really. 4chan must have these issues all the time, they can't afford to give anybody some slack. CC, on the other hand, does not regularly attract posters of child porn.

And that's reason to give them slack? I say no! CP is CP no matter where or who you are, and it should get you banned no matter what.

Ok, I refrained from clicking the link myself, so haven't actually seen the offending material but it seemed bedub was clueless to what he did? and also he has been a member of this website for a long time with lots of posts and no previous conviction as far as I'm aware for a similar incident. That's my views on why a perma-ban may seem a bit harsh. What was the nature of the website? Was it entirely child porn?

The admin should immediately call for a permaban over this issue. If they don't, then I guess everyone can post at least one child porn link and get away with it...

So one child porn picture is okay? Porn is clearly stated, in the guidelines, as a no-no. The fact that he would even link to that site, which contained pornography, is generally enough for a regular ban. But childporn, which is clearly stated as illegal in just about every country, even if it's just one picture, should be completely 100% not acceptable.

The admin have been made aware of this situation and have been given the link. The original post has already been edited.

Nope, I didn't quite get the joke. Why don't you fill us all in on it, and try to tell some of the parents and young kids that clicked on that link why it was so funny? I'm all ears...

The issue has been handled. When you see a post that breaks the forum guidelines, don't make another thread which basically just calls more attention to it. Use the Report Post button (triangle with exclamation point) to flag the thread, and if it's something really bad (like porn), PM an online mod. By the way, let admins handle any punishments rather than calling for people's heads to roll.
