Posted: Sat Jul 10, 2010 9:09 pmI think a new name containing any variant of "Continent" would be a bit of a misnomer, as this map includes many Asian islands, even extending to the Malay archipelago, which is often considered part of Oceania. I think a name using "Countries" or "Complete" would be more to the point, and such names have been suggested by myself and others. Perhaps a set of names could be proposed through a poll at this point?

Posted: Sun Jul 18, 2010 11:32 amThere is a term of art called Asia Minor, so Asia Major might be inferred as excluding it. I still think Asia Magna works well. It's latin for Greater Asia and it's short and simple and cool.

It seems like the name is just about the only thing anyone is discussing here (IH's recent post is the exception).
