you jsut need to experiment. use DiMs TTT thread

You could try a program called "inkscape". It takes a bit to get used to but its VERY good when you do get used to it. Pluss i think you can download it free.

ok, here is what you need to do:

-1 get rid of ALL the texture, ALL of it.
-2 reseach EVERYTHING about the falkland islands.
-3 take out all the territory names.
-4 ONLY work on gameplay no grafics, territory names, Etc.

hope this helps you, if not let me know.

This map is commerate the 25th Anniversray of the Falklands War....

This is just a very rough draft and i know i have along way to go but with the help of the Foundry i know i will get there in the end. I had fun making this map...

However i wonder if anyone knows why i cant use the pattern stamp or even write on lettering on the Map... I can draw on the blue seas but when i come to pattern stamp the black islands its not letting me!!!

Also i want to blend in the destroyer warships but not sure how to do it???

Lastly i patterened stamped the whole area and it looks quite messy...Is there an easier way... I tried filling but it wouldnt let me!!

As for gamestyle... I want to make the islands very important to this map...Any ideas???? I thought maybe the islands could ahve a small bonus and attack the mainlands, but the mainlands could not attack back?!?!

Then the destroyer warships could only attack the islands?!?

The little island inbetween the 2 largest Islands is not going to be part of all Islands.. It is part of no continent but is a important stepping stone to conquering all 4 Mainlands territotires

So what do you think? Any ideas?

Is this thread dead? Hulmey?

If not, I agree with points 1, 2, and 4 (dropping the territory names entirely makes it difficult to discuss the map). I would also add that you lose the ships. Ultimately you will be able to put all of these elements back in - gradually and carefully - but for now we need to figure out how this concept will even work as a game.

um, the Sinking of the light cruiser Belgrano was huge!

the British lost the Type 42 destroyer HMS Sheffield to fire following an Exocet missile strike.

HMS Hermes and HMS Glasgow were 2 british destroyers in the fight..
