well its a start, at least u have the CC logo

few things

1) Add goalies
2) Add those boxes where the players sit
3) Maybe add some refs?
4) If u could, add the area where the zamboni is kept, and have a bonus for that
5) Maybe also the area that (i assume is always) around the arena where people sell things?
6) And on that note, maybe also add some food sellers who are walking around?
7) see Operation Drugwar, i think this map would be cool if it looked alot like that

The map as it stands should be renamed Stadium. I agree with Bryguy, add some more Hockey to it and drop that many spectator seats. Zamboni, yes (where would hockey be without the zamboni, seriously?), penalty boxes yes, player areas yes. Add more territories on the rink, corresponding to good strategic positions, then give bonuses for being able to set up "a shot" (position to position, all the way into a goal). You could do some really cool stuff with Hockey, so don't sell yourself short by having a stadium instead.

how about a hockey arena map? is this one okay? :? :|
all criticism welcome...please.
too many territories?
hate the idea?
graphics?
bonuses?
rules?
i don't have names, so ideas?

the rink starts out with 5 neutrals on each place. there are 5 territories on the rink: center ice, and faceoffs 1-4

btw, theres never a thing as too many territories

hockey is played on grass in suburban areas and a type of astro-turf with a coat of water when in stadiums.

i might put money on the aussie women to win gold at the olympics.

in the U.S. hockey is played in hockey arenas, ice arenas, the like. Never on grass. Sometimes people will play hockey on concrete scating around on skates/roller blades tho

Would attacking from one of the balconies to a lower set of seats include jumping off the balcony and crashing into the row below you? cause thats how it works in baseball, all the balconies are stacked with huge gaps in between.
If that is true for this kind of stadium too, you might want to consider adding some kind of stairs or walkway or something to connect the layers, instead of just jumping over the railing.

also, how are you planning on naming these? Some of the territories (especially in the grey colored section) are extremely small, I doubt it could even fit army numbers in those spaces.

that is all changed now.

i'm not sure how i'm gonna name them, thats why i need help... also, i'll probably join the smaller territories with others to get less territories and more space for names.

should i make the rink more of a focus, like zoom in on it more, leaving less bleachers? cuz you guys seem to like the idea of more hockey, which i agree with :D

i should probably do that. it makes sense :)

i would like to know soon... because it would be easy just to take off the light blue and purple sections
should the naming be numbers like feudal war style, aside from the rink?

will the rest rooms be able to attack one another. there is another map, madness, that has that.

is that something people notice about some of these stadiums, that the rest rooms stink or problems with the plumbing - you know if one goes they all seem to go.

or perhaps a territory bonus. call it the janitors bonus.

sure, the restrooms can all attack eachother.

and by the janitor bonus you mean all the restrooms, or something else (please state what)?

i'm against that map name.

sorry, but for me a stadium is something the olympics are held in or football (any code) is played in.

this is a ice hockey rink.

Cool...a hockey map. Gonna make a lot of the Canadians on here happy.

A few things...

-shot spots doesn't fit in with hockey lingo. Use "The Point" as that is the correct hockey term.
-don't label the benches and penalty boxes as 1 & 2...label them "Home/Visitors Bench" and "Home/Visitors Penalty box"
-the Blue/Grey and Red/Green zones label them as "Home Upper bowl/Home Lower bowl" and "Visitors Upper Bowl/Visitors Lower bowl"
-the Yellows can stay "Centre"...but "Neutral Zone" would also fit in.

if you call this a rink then you still have the opportunity to do an olympic stadium or a football stadium (like man u's & real madrid's grounds). throw in madison square gardens or a famous race horse track like epsom or where the kentucky derby is held.

in no time at all you'll be a map making god.
