Ah, alright. That makes more sense. But borders is slightly more important than attack routes (though they are important also).

If the names aren't situate as they are for any particular reason, you could consider swapping both jake and jane for Ron and Pat, as they'd fit better into the small space and not touch the circle or borders. Also I'm not overly keen on Tim and Tom (and maybe Pam and Pat), very similar and could lead to mixups. Could a different name be used? let me know if I'm being pedantic.

Moved some more names (Jake, Jane, Ron, and Tom).

I dont think getting confused over Pam-Pat or Jake-Jane will be a problem since they aren't adjacent. There nicely short and save a lot of space. I'd prefer to keep them.

Good point. Only problem is when deploying. Several times I've deployed to the wrong territory becuase I've been lax and clicked what i thought was the right name. Tom / Tim is very similar. I know its the players fault but do you not think it would be worth changing just that one?

I don't think he means on the gameboard adjacent, but countries near each other in the drop down. If you can, I suggest keeping similar alike names (Tim, Tom, Tam?), to a minimum or not at all.

There are billions of names, and easily thousands of names that could work for this map that are short and unique, and easy to differentiate from others.

Perhaps consider going multicultural... Xin? Ali? ... then again I suppose it is the US senate.

Actually, going the route of other 'worldly' names, makes sense for the map. Considering nearly anyone (lets pretend at least :)) can get into the senate with the right dedication! (And money, power, etc...but that is a different thread!)

I'm going to start a new poll regarding the left-right border. One that is a bit more specific as I belive some have voted after I opened up "Tabloid" -"CNN".

1. Left-Right connection ONLY through the Podium.
2. Left-Right connection through the Podium AND "Tabloid"-"CNN".
3. Left-Right connection through the Podium AND "Education"-"Tobacco".

The current poll should end tomorrow.

Perhaps one of the seats should just be '$$$'

How about these changes?:
June - Suki
Pam - Zoe
Jake - Juan

What the heck. I'll go ahead and change them.

Oh, I'm making the balance of women in both parties equal so I've swapped a few names.

Brilliant. I love this map.

I would swap zoe for Karen just for spacing, but apart from that its looking great.

One thing I have noticed, the names on the small map almost feel a little too small. I know in some places there isn't very much room, but look into buffing the name sizes a little for the small.

It's not much, but when I upped the font size any more than that the map started to get too cluttered.

you should get a +1 bonus for holding opposite lobbies...gun control and NRA

Global Warming and Big Oil...not to say that they are connected...Big Oil has paid a lot of money to make sure scientists have studied the subject fully and read the sheet in front of them written by the PR department

Tobacco- healthcare

etc

im sure this wouldnt be confusing at all....

it would be cool though

As my namesake I should agree with you, and I do, but man would it make it complicated not to mention confusing. Imagine opposing poles for every country in this map. Cool but too cumbersome.

my dads there too

map looks good, very cool idea...im sure it is a lot of work, ill certainly play it when it comes online
