I am having trouble understanding what attack routes are. just when I think I get it, I take a territory only to find out it doesn't connect to one I thought it did. do you have anything visual that shows what can attack what ? I hope this makes sense, I am enjoying the map but having a hard time figuring out where to protect my borders as I dont know whats connected.

if u go to personal menu settings to turn on both panel interface and map inspect, then u can see any region's connections by rolling the cursor over the region count.

rivers and forests are impassable, but castles can be adjacent to both sides. lands border each other along their visible land frontiers: as examples, memelburg castle takes up the whole width of what would have been a land frontier betwen courland and scalovia, so that there is no land frontier, while prussia's potential frontier with nadruvia is blocked completely by a forest, a river and rhein castle. without exception, towns attack only the land in which they are located.
