If you're talking about this game?: http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=8952248

I think you are mistaken. The opponent got +2 total for Hudson. The other +2 was for the Northwest Territories.

Yes in the game that I finished not too long ago, after the last update, I held the Hudson route and it was worth only +2.

Sorry yeah, I meant +2 instead of +4

Basically as you can see in the log, it's "2011-05-03 00:19:41 - <player> received 1 troops for holding 2 Henry Hudson Expedition territories
2011-05-03 00:19:41 - <player> received 1 troops for holding Henry Hudson"
which gives 2 diff. +1 bonuses for the same regions. It just seemed a bit disingenuous to me #-o

Yeah, I get that there's really only one way to cut that bonus, and the fact that we mention +1 and +1 instead of just +2 is a bit redundant. The problem is that it is an expedition route, the same as the longer ones, and it would seem MORE off (to me at least) if it was just called +2 and immune from the +1 for 2 bonus structure.

I agree. Trying to explain the exception would take more space and be less clear than what is there now.

When I first played this map I hated it, quite possibly because I was really confused, and a lot of the linkages are difficult to understand, especially the bonus regions that don't have internal connections.

Now that I've played on it for a while, it has really grown on me. I find that once you take the time to figure out the complexities, this map really rewards you for your efforts. I have no changes to suggest; I just wanted to drop in and say that this map has won me over.

Love the map.

My only request would be the bonuses would be a little more clearly defined when it comes to continents.

I have played it a number of times and still dont fully understand them.

Keep up the good work.

Poor map feedback - Northwest Passage

Apologies, I'm a relative newbie so don't know how or where we feedback on maps etc. The vast majority are great and I love (hate!) the site which is addictive and infruuriating in equal measure.

Nortwest Passage however? I'm had the misfortune of it coming up in two random games. You cannot work out what area is what or which place can assault which. It leaves you with troops left on isolated rocks with no hope of finding a way through. I don't know how this place works enough to know if anything can be done!?

Knights though in Beta, now there's a map (because I seem to be good at it!)

I find BOB is a great tool to help you see what connects to what. But on this map, you just have to watch the colour differences in the water and remember: ice and tundra are impassable, so some bonus zones are broken up and take a little more work to capture and hold.

I was not a fan of this map at all when it first came out. However. Having played it multiple times now and learned how all the areas border each other I've started to really like it.

Yes, this map takes a little more spade work than some, but I like it too. I should play it more often, but I am not playing much at all right now.

I wouldn't say *most*, but it's definitely up there.

FYI - One of the two British ships that sailed on the Franklin expedition was found yesterday. Canada has been searching for these two ships for years. They were lost in the mid 1800's, along with all the crew. It was such a massive find that the announcement was made by Canada's Prime Minister.

Thanks Stealth99 for the update, it's huge news! Absolutely amazing to be able to see footage of this mysterious ship that vanished so long ago, and seemingly lost for good.

It was my husband's interest in the Franklin expedition that inspired the Northwest Passage map, which is why I included the routes of different explorers as a bonus feature. Hopefully having had this map available for the past few years has helped fellow members to understand the geography of the area, to better understand this momentous news. The spot where Franklin Expedition ends on my map is actually further north than where the ship was found this week.
