Looing smart but its just lacking something in my opinion. Have you considered my previous suggestions about a bonus for the bridge or the more unorthodox one about Alcatraz not being able to attack outwards (just one ways into the territory).

I love SF, on par with Barcelona as my favourite city, and I love the top down view. Just missing a spark at the moment I think...

ill look into googles policy. the water was from that image, however the original satellite image was not taken from google system. If its a problem Ill remove the water.

well, i read googles policy...its ok to use with copyright intact if its personal use. but since this site isnt personal use its a no go.

however, those satellite images are public domain, as you see them in many other programs (that one was from 'google earth') .

My initial image (without water) was taken from 'http://ww2d.org/home.php' WW2d which is a free and open source project. nothing copyrighted. I will find a way to use that program to get the water instead of google earth.

actually you can get almost the same view from the US geological survey. Which may be from where Google gets their satellite map. Not sure that it can be proven that this is taken from google.. USGS is public domain

-I'm going to try and add in a larger than scale version of alcatraz
-get the image of the water from WW2D (which is a open source satellite) program, ive already got it loaded, just need to align it properly.
-evilotto suggested some larger than scale features, although I like this idea...there are two problems
1. not a lot of space, I dont think there is room for a GG bridge
2. I dont have the skill to draw in good cartoon like drawings.

other than that, nobody has raised any other issues about the map itself (or if you have, I missed it)...

so, other than alcatraz...Im finished until people give more feedback of things to change...

ok, added in alcatraz...I have a few questions on how to implement it....

-Should i delete another region somewhere to hold the number divisible by 6? and, if so which one?
-Should alcatraz be part of the SF continent (add ANOTHER border), the Marin continent, or remain neutral?
-Should it have a feature like only being able to attack in, but not out...or you lost a army there each turn, or whatever. and which one (or a different one) would you like?
-Do you like the way the sea routes are drawn? maybe sausalito should go into alcatraz too, even though its not accurate in real life...it would make alcatraz more of a key point...

also, if someone wants to try and lay a golden gate bridge drawing over the sausalito to The presidio border, Id be fine with that. everything I've tried looks terrible....
