I mentioned it before, but noone noticed, but isn't the "fancy letter" A in Alba the wrong colour? Shouldn't it correspond with the fill colour on the map?

You did mention and I even changed it since then, because of what you had said. It's not exact but none of them are. They are all a tad bit darker for visibilities sake.

Really? I can't say I notice much difference. The other colours look right though, that's why I found it strange that Alba was different.

Alright looks like we're all tapped out here. There could be a concern with the fancy lettering, the legibility of the letters, and the size of "Gaul" still.... but if again brought up in the Forge is nothing but a minor tweak.

Hooray!!!!!! :D

The main thing I'm going to be looking for when this goes into Beta testing is whether or not that -1 belongs on the Celtic Sea. I'll submit the XML for review tomorrow.

Ok also good news for people that didn't like the fancy letters. I Am considering taking them out. I found this poem on the internet that I'm kind of thinking about putting in it's place. Tell me what you think:

Through storm and fire and gloom,
I see it stand, Firm, broad, and tall,
The Celtic Cross that marks our
Fatherland, Amid them all!
Druids and Danes and Saxons
vainly rage, Around its base;
It standeth shock on shock, and age on age,
Star of our scatter'd race.

I didn't write this., so am I allowed to use it?

I dunno... does your map have anything to do with druids, danes, saxons, celt crosses, storm, fire, or gloom?

It could have. But I think it is just a really pretty england/france map.

It doesn't not have anything to do with any of those things. The Saxons became the English, Druids were ancient Pagans. Danes... well no it has nothing to do with Danes, but Storm fire and gloom check out.

Do you know who did write it? Was there any copyright notice where you found it?

THOMAS D'ARCY M'GEE Wrote the poem. An Irishman, I didn't see a copyright notice, just his name.

It is written by Thomas D'Arcy McGee (1825-1868). So it is out of copyright.

Say, is that this fellow? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_D%27Arcy_McGee If it is, and not a much younger namesake, he's been dead over 100 years, and his works would likely be in the public domain by now.

Bah, fastposted by tokle. Still, some may find the link interesting.
