Thanks mibi, perhaps not everyone will be happy with certain graphics etc.

many territories are very small could the whole map be enlarged slightly (do not know how this fits with dimensions but im sure there is room for expansion

Boberz...thanx for your feedback.

This map is already at max size for the small version which I have been told is 600 px wide.

The large version will be bigger of course at 800 px wide.

Qwert, thanx for dropping by....given there are 10 regions...this will possibly be another 60 territory map, similar to Cairns Coral Coast.

21Mar V4 Update - Various Changes

* Amalgamated some territories
* Ocean back to Blue, even though i quite like the wooden background
* army shadow addition to see how it will look
* addition of The Pacific Star Medal awarded to my uncle who was killed in Bouganville in 1942.

I liked the wooden look, but the blue does look better.

You may want to put dashes pointing to the territories from the names.

The rock of whatever looks funny down there.

Looking nice!

Gozar...thanx, yes I agree about the blue looking better.

The rock is called Uluru - formerly Ayres Rock.

At present it is a space filler, as those territories above it don't extend that fdar into the interior of the continent, I don't want to add another territoiry there as there is already too many.

As for the names, there will be several re-shuffles of the deck chairs!

I'll see if there are viable alternatives that I can image there.

24Mar V6Update:
* Uluru toned down
* Land invasion lines much clearer
* Navy invasion lines altered to dotted lines for distinction
* Ghost of JN Shoko (sunk during battle) added bottom right
* Amry shadows ghosted to 35% transparency
* Alterations to the legend.

I thought it was the Dutch East Indies, not the West Indies. :wink:

by Skittles!
I don't like how Uluru is there (By the way, Uluru is the Aboriginal name for it, other people call it Ayres Rock)
I don't like the texture for the sea.

Thanks Keyogi...slip of the pen :lol: (or mind)...anyway fixed in map above.

Looks like Uluru is not popular being there....marked for removal.

Wisse...thanks for your feedback...I appreciate what you say, but on maps I am using from that time, which I guess are historical and regional to this area, it is known as the Dutch East Indies, and that is what I will be using.

NB: Uluru has been replaced in the map above and shown instead is a "Betty Bomber" - one of the Japanese aircraft which bombed Darwin on 19 Feb 1942 - air raids in which 243 people were killed.
