Honestly, i think the flags are enough to distinguish the US and Soviet ships apart

I'd probably agree with Elmo9199.

I also think the flags are enough.

:shrugs: Alright, my thing is just opposing fleets shouldn't be sailing in the same direction is all, it just doesn't give me the appearance of fleets attacking one another, ya'know?

However the majority wants to go though, sup to you man!

That makes sense, but they look like they are 100s of miles apart, and with the age of ballistic missiles and the like, direction doesn't matter.

I dunno, I think RedBaron's suggestion has some merit in this regard:

But you're right, I don't think it is necessary for clarity with the flags being there.

This isn't a typical naval battle though - this was a blockade/quarantine by the US. Ships were supplying that and ferrying around the Gulf of Mexico, while the ruskies were bringing supplies to Cuba, testing the quarantine, moving back to the motherland, etc. It wasn't a full fledged naval battle.

Very few comments - Joe? Oliver F. A.? Tisha bisha bo bisha? Anybody else wanna chime in? Love to get the go ahead to do XML.

Oh and yeah I don't have time for the XML. Anybody want to help with that?

And as far as the lull in comments is concerned, I think it's largely a good thing, because I know I really don't see anything wrong with how it is now.

This map will be stamped in the next 48 hours if no major graphical concerns come up.

The only concern i have that could be rectified but isn't a totally big issue is that the story has room to be in the same place on both maps i.e. not in the bottom right corner.
Well done Acerimmer. :)

Since no major concerns (only a minor one from cairns) have been raised I have no problems stamping the Cuban Missile Crisis Map.

Although stamped this is not a seal of graphical completion. Should any further graphical concerns arise before quenching they must be addressed or rebuttal given, as the spirit of the foundry demands! Welcome to the forge, ace.

p.s. remember to address this issue ;)
