Damn! We can't have a labyrinth without a minotaur! Certainly it's hard for me to find out and half cow and half man creature right now...but hey we have a cow! And it's a step in the right direction! :mrgreen:

Now, apart this foolish paragraph....that's certainly the result of a too much alchool during my birthday party...I'm pleased to release this new map into the CC roster.
Dana, you know that I still consider a cow map idea a really foolish one, but it's clear to my eyes that you've done a great work to transform the old "just a cow" map into what we can see and play very soon.

A great job, I'm taking my hat off to you...It's rare to see a such good result for a 1st map.
Really good work, if we have to have a cow map...then I'm happy it is your cow map.

---The development period has concluded for the 4 Star Meats Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Beta Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for BETA Play. After an extended period of time in BETA and once all quirks and issues have been resolved, the map will be put into Full Play (barring any Admins or Foundry Foreman vetoes).

While the map is in BETA Play, there are a couple of administrative tasks that are required of the mapmaker(s) in addition to the initial gameplay testing:
    1. Please ensure that the first post of the thread contains all the necessary information to help future visitors to the development thread; it's particularly important to ensure the most recent images are there, along with any helpful guides (such as gameplay quirks/nuances or the location/size of any starting neutrals etc.)
    2. It is the responsibility of the mapmaker(s) to ensure that they respond to further feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
    3. Write a "creative" map description and send it to the Foundry Foreman via PM. You're encouraged to post it into the first post of the thread as well; the description will be used to populate the maps database.

Hi Conrwronski,

There is only 1 four star meat logo, that's the one at the top of the map in the big star, It starts with a neutral.

The little stars are not auto deploy +1. But they can attack the one and only 4 star meat logo, and vice versa.

Does that help?

So far I've played two games on this map (well, one is ongoing). The first I lost to a Cook, and the second was subject to an unrelated bug (viewtopic.php?f=506&t=191645#p4194620). But I still love it.

One would think that a map this simple could have been made small enough to fit a screen without scrolling. There are no fine details which would be lost if the whole thing was scaled down by 20%. Just seems like it's huge for no good reason.

And all of them could be scaled down 20% without becoming difficult to see, was my point.

Then you could put your map on Side Stats and see the tert counts, etc, without horizontal scrolling, and you could click "Begin Turn" and the attack bar without vertical scrolling.

I guess it depends on your monitor size. I use side stats and the only map I have to scroll for is Kings Court II.

Well, more on monitor resolution than size. I'm on 1024 x 768, which is huge. Just a few years ago 640 x 460 was the theoretical maximum, but then monitors went crazy and started adding four digit resolutions, which is just insane. My monitor will do more that 1024 x 768, but any higher and I can't make out the icons on the Quick Launch bar, so I won't go any higher.

I realize that on some maps there are fine details which would be lost if the map was shrunk, but there aren't on this map. It's all very basic and straightforward, and could easily be scaled down without loss of detail.

I can get side stats to fit on my I-pad, so I'm not sure why it won't for your monitor?
Does anyone else have this issue, because changing the size isn't as simple hitting a scale down button. The XML would need to be reworked, and well as the image being rescaled and reloaded.
