thanks Andy and RedBaron. I know that map has some graphics mistakes, but the main problem is gameplay now. my bad I answered wrong question:
what is needed to solve is connection between towns and bonuses.

about flag. in previuos vesion there was coat of arms. maybe I could add it back...

The map has a simpler feel then a detailed coat of arms would likely add. Keep that in mind.

Is that not the coat of arms for Czechoslovakia. Would it not be better to use the two for both regions as your title is the Fragmentation of this region.
ImageImage
Since you first posted this map, I have always felt it should be on a classroom wall so here is an idea for you. Extend the top of the image where you have the title now and on both sides, fill it with the different coats of arms for each part (Slovak & Czech) and then put the flags for each kraj along side if you have the room, if not, you could always put all of them along the bottom.

Can you explain this for me. kraj, krajov, kraje. I know one is singular, one is plural, but what about the third one?

Kraj is singular, Kraje is the plural in Czech and Krajov is the plural in Slovak. (I believe. My grammar is weak.)

Map looking great, Oneyed!

coat of arms used by me is for Fedral republic. and yes it is about fragmentation, but it is still one country. the history of fragmentation is not so simple, that somebody told lets didvide it and it was done. during year 1992 prime ministers of Czech republic and Slovak republic also with their goverments divided Czechoslovakia. it was not simple: there was common army (with tanks, airplanes, weapons...), common gold reserve, common debts and so on. so after their found solution their declared that official fragmentation will be in 1. 1. 1993.

you have good feeling :) . and therefore it would be board map (in school or wherever), there are these "empty" spaces.

I think with two coat of arms or two flags the map will be too replete.

Kraj is singular, Kraje is the plural in Czech and Krajov is the plural in Slovak. (I believe. My grammar is weak.)

Kraj is singular in both languages. plural: 2, 3, 4 Kraje in both languages, 5, 6, 7 ... Krajov in Slovak language, 5, 6, 7 ... Krajů in Czech language.

I think the coat of arms is enough on the map. Too much more and it will get cluttered. Right now it looks good, but I'll go over it with my comb later. ;)

Minor point of English grammar:
"region and 3 towns inside its border" and "region and 2 towns inside its border"

These should be "its" not "it's" -- the possessive "its" not the contraction "it's=it is".

OK, second one please, my multiple personalities voted on it and they all say the second one.

The reason is, Austria and Poland are one word, Germany is split up into two but of equal amounts. Only Hungary has the large difference. Looks odd to have two countries called Hunga and Ry. ;)

Yeah, the stranded "RY" on the first version does not look good. The second version flows much better.

The second one looks a little squashed, so a slightly different angle will also allow it to space out some.

Vienna needs to be renamed Wean.

You need to spice it up a bit. Maybe work on borders of the map and legend. Maybe use a different type of txt. Cool map. It just needs to spice. ;)

Edit: Also, maybe brighter colors. Shade the border areas and make other areas lighter to give it a more 3D effect than just the flat surface.
