If the most people seem to like the new then **thumbs up**...but now the map just feels dark to me. :(

thats because just the lightness has been changed, and the contrast suffers.. it looks a bit muted and dull.

#1. This update looks better than the original, and than mibis suggestion. Good job on finding the middle ground.

#2 @Andy--Have you ever been to a rainforest? I haven't, but I assume with all the layers of trees it'd be a fairly dark place and thus this map of South America matches. You'd probably see it from the top layer of trees being a monkey and all though.

Some of the Army Circle placements look odd.

I have been to a rainforst actually...though it was a Central American one. Really really dark water just isn't pleasing to my eye!

was it dark?

I asked my web design teacher and someone next to me, they both preferred light though I preferred dark.

Though I have yet to be involved in this process, I'll throw in my 2 cents: I like the light water significantly more.

Also, I like this map a lot.

Dunno. Andy sleeps a lot. He'll let you know when he wakes up. I suggest you have bananas waiting for him. I think this is ready myself.

Been extra busy as of late...collecting as many bananas as I could for my Winter Horde.

Could you post the links to both the large map and the small map, in addition to a link to the XML?

You should be careful of evil reptiles that may want to steal all of it. Would hate for you to have to go on an adventure.

XML

thanks yeti_c but I believe they wanted the regular links to the maps not the XML maps

edit: I also checked over my XML for the 947524th time. I will be quite surprised if there are any problems.

              Quenching

The Final Forge period has concluded for the South America Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for live play (barring any Lack vetoes).

Conquer Club, enjoy!
