Be nice to see this revamped. I love the gameplay just how it is though i wouldn't change a thing. Doghouse imo works fine the way it is.

Could run some sort of comp/tourney for the neighbours names?

First time I've played on this map. I'd like to add my vote to making the DogHouse Neutral to begin with, if there's an update. And if there's voting.

could the 4 names at the bottom be updated to reflect our house now ?

Agreed.

Nothing wrong with the doghouse.

I don't know why some people get so excited about someone dropping a +1 bonus. Yeah, maybe this time it was your opponent. Maybe next time it will be you. It's nice to drop a bonus every now and then, and +1 is hardly overwhelming. It's much better than another damn neutral that nobody will ever take except in 6-player flat rate.

Yep. leave the dog house in the mix. As for names, I would say to leave them as they are.

I agree with greenoaks about the names. It would be a fun update to the maps like this and Clandemonium, to have updated territory names with the changing CC community.

I talked to Kabanellas not too long ago, and he said at the moment Clandemonium won't be updated (I even offered to change the XML!)

i am quite willing to update the names, that's why i ask for suggestions folks.

Probably won't fit but bigWham for Lack or just Wham, BMO for Andy, Nobodies for DIM, Blake for wicked.

I feel like the avatars on the map should be somewhat nostalgic to the person that it is portraying (ie, lack ALWAYS used the turtle, andy ALWAYS used Curious George)

Just slapping a picture to represent a person I think is a bit silly because no one will understand the references.

If it's used as their avatar, sure. Personally, that's what made Lack, Andy, Wicked and DiM really pop on that map because it's also what I saw in the forums whenever they posted.

An idea for you over this. How about letting the entertainment team run a competition with the winner going on for wicked.

As for ideas on names, here are two for you.
nobodies - always a gheko
gilligan - always seen him as a pirate.

BMO would be an easy add, but not sure about bigwham.

i'd started a revamp of the graphics some time ago...
so if we go down this road, i think it would be an idea to revamp this also.

That would be totally up to you. It would have to go through the graphics stage again. If you do this, start a new thread and we can get it bumped up to the Main Foundry so you can get the graphic revamp done. Then once everything is good to go and it passes, then we'll merged the two threads.

I'm totally for a graphic revamp. While I like it the way it is, it has great potential. Especially now cause you've done 100 maps since this one.

alternatively we could put the names of the different owners in there with Lack, el Jefe, bigWham and in a few months we'll have the fourth.

tnb80 is the abbreviation i beleive

This was the revamp i was starting before, new colours, more earthy etc. This is done in Illustrator and much clearer than using FWs.



If we go for the revamp, my plan would be to:
1. reproduce the plan taking this forward to the stage where everyone was happy with it
2. throw the image into Sketchup, and try producing some 3D walls and furniture etc on high vertical vanishing point
3. export this .png image to Illustrator again and finish with the army circles and text.
4. For the map region text, it might even be possible to explore the text in 3D also, although i have yet to determine how this might be acheived in Illustrator.

i am reasonably confident that something can be accomplished for "2." from this image
