Joodoo
Below is part of the xml for the territory M01 - Imperial Guard 1.
As you can see it can bombard a lot of territories that are marked as the opposition.

Code: Select all
<territory>
<name>Imperial Guard 01</name>
<borders>
      </borders>

<bombardments>
<bombardment>Chässe 01</bombardment>
<bombardment>Chässe 02</bombardment>
<bombardment>Chässe 03</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 01</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 02</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 03</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 04</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 05</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 06</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 07</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 08</bombardment>
<bombardment>Clinton 09</bombardment>
<bombardment>Alton 01</bombardment>
<bombardment>Alton 02</bombardment>
<bombardment>Alton 03</bombardment>
<bombardment>Alton 04</bombardment>
<bombardment>Alton 05</bombardment>
<bombardment>Uxbridge 01</bombardment>
<bombardment>Hougomont 01</bombardment>
<bombardment>Hougomont 02</bombardment>
</bombardments>

<coordinates>
<smallx>128</smallx>
<smally>577</smally>
<largex>171</largex>
<largey>762</largey>
</coordinates>
</territory>

wow, quick reply. thanks very much.

not to be nit-picky, but what about the above-quoted post? I didn't see a reply to that one. thanks.

sm8900 wrote:hi. you guys need to post more of the rules for this map. such as that an artillery space can't attack any space which belongs to the the same region as itself.

I have to ask sm8900, when playing a map that is essentially a two-sided game, why would you want to attack your own space.
I can see what you're getting at though.
This was the way the map was designed.

Tho that does give me an idea... since CC still doesn't have proper map guides, it might not be a bad idea to have a FAQ for a given complex map in the first post of the thread (especially since now there's a link to the development thread in each map's game finder image).

um I would want to attack a space in the same region if it is held by the other side.

It looks like Ney04 cannot attack Reille06 at the moment, but it should be able to do so since Ney04 is cavalry and it can therefor attack Reille06 through ImperialGuard08

Capitano would appear to have a point here - surprised this has never been spotted before!!!

The current code is as follows:

Code: Select all
   <territory>
      <name>Ney 04</name>
      <borders>
         <border>Ney 05</border>
         <border>Alton 03</border>
         <border>Alton 01</border>
         <border>Clinton 09</border>
         <border>Imperial Guard 08</border>
         <border>Ney 03</border>
         <border>Ney 06</border>
         <border>Alton 02</border>
         <border>Alton 04</border>
         <border>Imperial Guard 07</border>
         <border>Clinton 08</border>
         <border>Clinton 02</border>
         <border>Clinton 03</border>
         <border>Hougomont 02</border>
      </borders>
      <coordinates>
         <smallx>230</smallx>
         <smally>296</smally>
         <largex>308</largex>
         <largey>386</largey>
      </coordinates>

When some has checked if there are no others to be included in the update...perhaps you could take on that task ;)

I checked the cavalry and didn't see any other errors:

Second opinion would be good I presume.

Was just about to report this, but i see someone has already done so. I deployed on N04 and assumed i would be able to assault R06 from N04 but the option was unavailable to me...

Good to know you're already sorting this out.

I have complaint about this game. You need to make it so that if player is stuck in Artillary and cant move out then the game automatically ends with the win going to the player who is in other regions. because game 6404825 this idiot keeps deploying on board and wont take the 1 guy I have in an artillary region and finish the game. So I cant play the game because I cant move and so theres no more point in game to continue. So it should be auto-finish when game gets to a point like that.

Your opponent is breaking the rules by holding you hostage, report him in C&A...

This would be weird if there is an issue with the XML, but are people really supposed to get 3 bonuses for holding 3 villages?

I thought if you held all 3 villages then it would counteract the holding of 2 villages

here's a screenshot

The 3 Villages does override the any 2 village bonuses:
Code: Select all
<continent>
   <name>All Three Villages</name>
   <bonus>7</bonus>
   <components>
      <territory>Chapel S Lambert 01</territory>
      <territory>Chapel S Lambert 02</territory>
      <territory>Mont St Jean 01</territory>
      <territory>Mont St Jean 02</territory>
      <territory>Plancenoit 01</territory>
      <territory>Plancenoit 02</territory>
   </components>
   <overrides>
      <override>Any Two Villages</override>
   </overrides>
</continent>

The glitch you are seeing is related to the way BOB displays the bonuses you (or your opponent) hold
