- I still think the font could be changed. Now it's too much of a hard contrast with the softness of the map. When I look at the map all I see is glaring white/black words all over the place. It works for the Malta map, maybe because that map had a more bold feel, but I don't think it works here. You may want to poll the audience.
- The outer main borders need to be less jagged. I would suggest retracing the entire outer border and working on blends from that (inner bevel and such).
- Some of the inner territ borders are very faint, as others are darker. Is this on purpose for some visual reason? I would prefer inner territ borders to be consistent.
- The background light green is very dull. The gray swirls don't really add to the feel of this map either. Even though I'm all for a non-busy background, maybe add a little texture or something else to the background here.
- I'm still waiting to see your bridge design.
- I'm not a fan of the large beveled rectangle that the legend sits on. It's very dull.
Overall though nice job Ruben. And really quick progress so far.
Hi RJ. Thanks for your feedback.
- I am going to make some different versions of the font and a poll to see what is the most popular option as you suggested.
- I'll see what I can do about the border issue to refine them a bit.
- I don't know about the background...I like the simplicity of it.
- I won't be needing the bridges since I modified the rivers to be impassable borders. From feedback gathered this was less confusing since some of the rivers were crossing through the middle of territories.
- The rectangle was used because another user commented that the previous design on which the legend was sitting was not good. Check the previous design in one of the earlier versions.
Thanks again RJ. Your comments are always much appreciated.
