This might have already been asked, but how do the castles get distributed in team games? We are playing a team game of 2v2v2 and I want to know if theres an obvious way of telling which two castles are unoccupied ;)
Cheers!

I believe they are assigned randomly.

There is no easy way to tell, unless you can mystically work it out from the game log

5eriou5ly? You need to rai5e your own po5t'5 readability before you criticize a pa55ed map'5 own. Putting 5'5 where s'5 are i5 beyond 5tupid.

Is this better? With only half a key board using numbers for letters was a must... now as for stupidity... may the same thing happen to you with letters that do not have numerical partners and I hope you enjoy the challenge it produces.

The map still needs work... Passed or not.
I thought this was a forum for communication about map improvements not a room of grammatical teachers... Sorry to bother you with my opinion.

I dont think one is posted on here.. but here is how you can have one of your very own... (And I may do this myself too now that I am thinking on it...)
start a game without cloud of war and in round one Before anyone moves... click on the map and save it... or you can copy the map and paste it into your windows Paint program and save it that way...

Has anybody had trouble attacking on this map in Trench mode? I'm currently in a Fog/Trench/Adjacent game and haven't been able to attack once. Each turn I deploy on my castle--the only territory on which I can deploy--then receive a message saying that "You cannot make any assaults." Other players appear to be able to assault territories adjacent to their starting positions, so I'm not sure why I'm the only one who can't assault any territories from my castle.

Just trying to figure out what's going on. I'm having no trouble in other Trench games.

Forgive me if someone has already brought this up, but there's a minor typo either in the XML for this map or on the map itself.
The village near the center of the map is labeled Ga'h on the map, but in the XML (as seen in BOB), it is labeled G'ah (note the placement of the apostrophe).
Any word on if/when this could possibly be fixed? Shouldn't take more than 2 minutes to change in the XML with a simple "Replace All."

Gilligan, take a look at it and let me know if it's good.
I also changed it a bit to make it easier and smaller....if you think it's not a good idea we can just change Ga'h

Feudal Epic anomaly

Postby Zemljanin on Thu Jan 27, 2022 1:33 pm

Stats show +1 per kingdom, regardless of the number of territories.
E.g. a player has +6 for 18 regions, +3 for 6/7 regions in one kingdom, +4 for 8 regions in another kingdom and 5+5+3 for two castles and village. The "Troops due" column should correctly show (6+7+13)=26. However, it shows (6+2+13)=21 instead.
I've asked the opponent, but he apparently doesn't even know what I am talking about, probably because he uses a phone or some other small device.

Is it a well known bug that lasts for years because nobody cares
or
is it happening only to me
or
something third, beyond the boundaries of my imagination
?

What are you actually dropping in that game?

The castles and villages are auto deploys, so are you saying that you're only dropping 8?

No, what he means is that the area bonuses for castle-regions always only show up as +1s. It's not really annoying or noticeable imo, but it's hard to miss once you see it.

In case you're not following, see e.g. Game 21440183 and check the 'map' tab. Each empire has +1 bonuses which in reality range from +0 (if you dont have it) to +4 (if you own all).

No, yeah, I know what he's asking. My point in asking what he is dropping is, when he tells us, the number is going to be correct per the map's guidelines. Then my point will be, "Read the map guidelines, do not look at that other crap."

No, I haven't observed anything suspicious in actual distribution of units. Apparently all works as it should. Just the Stats display is wrong.

I was just wondering whether it's possible that such simple bug survives for years without being eliminated...

The map was made before 'technology' like the map/stats panel existed, and the representation of bonuses on the map wasn't designed with that in mind. At least, that's what I think.

I don't think it's relevant. Feudal War is older and works just fine. If a programmer was pissed off for getting that assignment and totally deconcentrated, the job (of finding and correcting the bug) should still be finished in less than 30 minutes. A programmer in right mood would spend up to several minutes...
