I'd play if I didn't have this little thing called the HSC coming up.
And if there were games already up... It can't take that long can it?

Stunning map, MrBenn. You have done England proud.

Why was this map not added when the others were?

I'm playing it now. I like the map itself. But the bonuses are not clearly stated. I have no idea what region is what.

I know it's not the most straightforward instruction, but I think there's enough on the map to make it clear. If a significant number of people raise it as an issue, I'll have a look and see if anything can be done ;-)

In the meantime, I wonder if this will help:

Each county is named in Black text.
Each region is indicated by a cluster of counties in the same shade, with the name ghosted onto the region.
The legend is divided into areas, and depicts the bonuses for each region under an area heading (North, Midlands, South).

So... the county of East Sussex is in the SOUTH EAST region, and in The SOUTH area.

On my way to xmap on it and I have no issues. It's a great map, no problems figuring out the bonuses. Great job! =D>

Cheers Andy ;-)

Thanks folks - I couldn't have done it without your support during development. Perhaps I'll get around to setting up a batch of games in the run up to Christmas? 8-[

Well, just played my first set of 3 1v1 games on this map. And... quite possibly the worst 1v1 map I've ever seen.

Go first = auto win

Definitely fun for larger games though.

I agree - it's rubbish for 1v1 games.

I really like this map, I think it's an overlooked gem. Lots of bonus potential for trips and even quads games. Well done!

I am playing my first game on this map and noticed a smaller naming mistake. There is a region called "Leichester" on the map, but it is displayed as "Leicestershire" in the game log. It should read "Leicester (Leicestershire)" in the game log in order to make it clear that these are not different regions.

IN actual fact, the area marked as "Leicester" should be abbreviated to "Leics"

Hey

I was looking at this map with an aim to play it. It looks great. I love the road sign metaphor.

But not sure about using 'Jerusalem'. Whilst it is quite funny once one realises what pseudo-religious jingoistic empire establishing clap-trap it is, I am not sure that many yet see its (dark) humour. Any possibility it could be removed rather than perpetuate the silly xenowonk?

Thanks - I'm glad you like the look of it ;-)

Blake definitely had a couple of screws loose - there's no denying that; but that (certainly to my mind) is not sufficient reason to remove the lyrics from the map - especially as they relate to sword-to-sword combat in our green and pleasant land ;-)

I'm guessing you didn't vote UKIP.
