The map is awesome ! :D

The sun layer on the large version, seems to have a bevel and drop shadow going on. Neither is needed imho.

I am with the majority, ...STICK A FORK IN. =D>

Can we see an 888 test ?

Just one more thing, The drop shadow on the Islands might look better if the distance was changed from 0 to 1, 2, or 3. With he light source coming from the rising sun.

I do have to adjust some of the coordinates from the XML and I have to figure out a nagging error I keep getting, but the numbers are displaying on the map pretty close or spot on to where they'll go in the end, so you can still see what it'll look like.

Last little tweaks made.(I hope) Only graphical question left might be whether or not I should have army circles or not. I'm leaning towards not, looks better without, and the image colors should be light enough to negate the need.

GOOD WORK.
I would vote, NO circles. I do NOT like them to begin with, and only advise using them, if they are needed. They are NOT needed on this map. :D

Can you do the same drop shadow treatment on the mini-map ?

Nagaski coordinates probably should be shifted---or the name.

After a lot of work, I think you're very nearly done ;-)

The latest version is the better-looking of the ones I've scanned through very quickly - you made the right decision to drop the added outline.

The only area of concern is probably the bottom right-hand corner; it feels a little clumsy, and could probably add your name (and move the plane) to the top of the list of the other mapmakers you've given a mention to. It's just a little matter of jiggling things around a bit really, to see what looks/feels best...

Other than that, I would urge you to avoid the temptation to fiddle around with anything else too much!

Yeah I know, the coordinates will be moved up and over a bit. I moved the name up, if you look at most of the older versions, "Nagasaki" was a little further over and down. I was having a bit of trouble reading it so I moved onto the territory a little more. There are definitely a few coordinates to move, mostly just a few pixels here and there. The Sea of Japan needs to move to the circle, Nagasaki has already been mentioned, Okinawa on the large map. Nothing serious, and a focus for the Forge... ;)

The little things shall be fixed up tomorrow, I'm beat.

just try to avoid digits going over a black line border everywhere you can

You know.... for all the trouble I've put into coming up with a signature, I think I should just let it go, for now. I've deleted the plane and moved the time stamp(2010) to the very top corner. My name is on the map. The kanji text in the stamp, 赤い男爵ゼロ translates to "Red Baron Zero" And that works for me. Moved the compass a little bit one of the little burn marks in the parchment was interfering with it.

Where ever I can, some spots it'll be unavoidable, but I'll minimize it as much as possible.

That'll throw the stamp out of balance. Does my name really need to be in English?

by the way you spelled "Baron" wrong... :P

No, I don't think so. The japanese signature is sufficient IMO. Not many can read it, but hey... it's your choice.

Anyway, if you want people to be able to tell who made the map, put your name in english in some corner, but not in the stamp...

It IS your call of coarse, but only a very small number of people will be able to read, and know who made this map, if you do not put it in English, ...somewhere.

You could always add "redbaron0" in red text beneath the red border of the stamp - right align it (or extend it slightly beyond alignment with the right edge. That way you would have continuity between the stamp and the list of people you've thanked... It just seems odd that those people will be more recognisable than the mapmaker

I may still have a graphics stamp lying around somewhere...... I'll have to go and dig it out :P

So you're keeping the one circle for the Sea of Japan? Do we really need it? Now that it is the only one, it looks a bit like someone attacked the map with a paper punch. With the number between the label and the junk, it should be clear what it is for.
