Team Assassin Games [MODS PLEASE HAVE A LOOK]

Concise description:
  • Team Assassin games - doubles

Specifics:
  • As simple as it sounds, make the 3/4 team games assassin if wanted.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • It would add even more fun to the site, I think.

well, in that case, it might be too hard or too long...but if it was just a teammate it'd be easy to just gang up and only attack them, cuz usually in dubs the teammates aren't even. One's more powerful...

Anyways, I'm not too sure this idea would be too different than how team games function already.

Well... I guess my main question would be is there really enough of a demand to put in functionality for a different type of 3 or 4-team doubles games? You rarely see those being made as is anyways.

There are 3,419 games all time for 8-player doubles, and currently 129 of close to 3000 games waiting for players use these settings. That is less than five percent of the games waiting for more.

Also, there are currently 72 of close to 3000 games waiting for players that use an assassin setting. That would be less than three percent of the games waiting for more.

I just don't know if further segmenting such a small portion of games is going to lead to something desirable or active. Would it really be worth putting the coding in for something that would consist of less than 5 active games at a time?

New Gameplays

Team : Assassin and Terminator

Concise description:
  • More gameplay options that involve teams.

Specifics:
  • Team Assassin - Can be played by 3 or 4 doubles teams. Each team has another team as its target, and it has to eliminate all players on it's target's team. First team to eliminate all players on it's target's team wins.
  • Team Terminator - Can be played by 3 or 4 doubles teams. When a player on one team eliminates the last player on another team, they get that teams points.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • Adding more gameplays to the site.

i think the team assassin is a great idea, you could use a variety of tactics to mask who you're pursuing on the other team etc. as well as loading partners. i think there's an issue of potential abuse of using multi spies to leak who the target is but that problem exists in normal team games so i don't think that's too big of an issue. great suggestion lanyards.

There are a number of flaws with Team assassin that you would need to discuss/iron out first.

I'm pretty sure they were mentioned in the last thread about Team Assassin.

Team Termy also would have to have some decisions made too. (i.e. who gets the points for a kill? - indivuduals or teams? Who gets the points if you kill a member of your own team?) etc.

For team termy, I thought it would just be nobody gets any points until the last player from a team is dead. Then when the player from one team kills the last player from another team, the team with the individual who killed off one team would get the points divided up amongst themselves like normal 4 player doubles games. That sound good?

But I didn't see this other Team Ass thread, anybody know where it is?
