Retroactively count all off-topics posts towards post count

Concise description:

Count all posts that were made in the past and all future off-topic posts towards a user's post count

Specifics/Details:

Change the code, make it so that a user's post count is correctly illustrated by their total post count, not just all forums minus off topics

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

Off-topics is arguably the most important forum on this site. I understand the requirement for removing off topics posts from a user's post count, as this led to much ridiculousness, but times have changed. We need to know who has helped the site by contributing towards off topics.

Note that this doesn't require any code changes -- including forums in the post count (or excluding them) is a very simple option to change in phpBB. It is a policy question only.

I think as long as there's a "General Congratulations" thread in GD then there's not much of an argument for excluding OT posts.

ehhh, disagree there... you seem to have forgotten that thread was created at a time when the GD was flooded with threads like, "CONGRATS RZ2333 for making Sgt!!!"... go back and read Fruitcake's first post, it is genius... however, i have never understood why off-topics didn't count towards the post count... they are contributing to the life of the forum, correct? i pop in from time to time, i'm not a regular poster, but i read many threads and i understand the importance of the OT... much like Flame Wars did, it helps to drive the community in an odd way that the powers that be may not quite understand...-Jésus noir
