Welcome Comrades to the 107th edition of the Dispatch
After the colossal enterprises that were issues 105 and 106, we're all taking a bit of a breather and being less wordy than usual. I hope you consider this a welcome change!
To me, the most important news is that we seem to have finally turned the corner. For three months the development team, under our new owner BigWham and our new Operations Manager blakebowling has been rolling out one improvement after another, and yet membership continued to decline. Lately people have been asking themselves, "Why do the numbers continue to slide when there is so much improvement?"
I believe that it is mainly a matter of needing to overcome inertia. There was such a huge watershed of pessimism on CC that it could not be fixed in one or two steps. I think the new administration has finally convinced enough people that the pendulum is now swinging the other way. 11271, the scoreboard figure that we hit on November 2nd, might well be the record low. We are now 200 higher than that, and still rising.
The Conquer Club Renaissance may have already begun!
The Platoon Report covers all aspects of the Clan scene, including of course the CL5.
War Games has the return of JTON, an index of Dave's Tips, and an interview with veteran TO osujacket.
Cartographic Surveillance covers 24 maps in development. Did you know we even have 24 maps in development? The Foundy is a busier place than you might realize; I hope you all take up the challenge that Seamus76 presents.
Finally, our Next Mission Brief includes such things as the closing credits and information on how to subscribe.
Hello friends, and welcome to your favourite part of the Newsletter, "War Games", where you can find information about CC Tournaments, and other stuff in the Tournament scene!
In this issue, DaveH brings us the archive of his Tournament Tips after faithfully writing 50 editions of them for us since Issue 58 of the CC Dispatch. If you're ever in need of some technical help with running your Tournaments, you know where to go!
In other news, mcshanester29 delivers yet another MTTO interview with osujacket, while anamainiacks returns from last issue's mini hiatus with a selection of tournaments for you to join in Join This? Or Not! There will be no TPA Wrap this week though, as our writer DaveH is busy. I'd say he deserves a nice break after contributing those Tournament Tips so faithfully all this while, no?
